Historia
A classic work of military strategy, On War sets forth the theories and tactics of Carl von Clausewitz, a distinguished Prussian general who was notable for his roles in the French Revolutionary and Napoleonic Wars. The book covers a broad range of topics, including weapons, terrain, troops, and leadership, as well as the importance of defense over offence, the balance of power, and the subordination of war to politics. Praised for its timeless insights, Clausewitz’s treatise is often compared to the work of Machiavelli and Sun Tzu, and remains relevant to military leaders.

Masterpiece.

The book had a slow start at first but once you climb that hill the pace starts to pick up quick and a lot of information is thrown at you . This book is a gem when it comes to warfare, it’s like taking a course. So much detail and anecdotes to give examples of the methods spoken about. It reminds me of the Seven Military Classics Of Ancient China. I definitely recommend

Historia
The Snakehead is a panoramic tale of international intrigue and a dramatic portrait of the underground economy in which America's 12 million illegal immigrants live. Based on hundreds of interviews, Patrick Radden Keefe's sweeping narrative tells the story not only of Sister Ping, but of the gangland gunslingers who worked for her, the immigration and law enforcement officials who pursued her, and the generation of penniless immigrants who risked death and braved a 17,000 mile odyssey so that they could realize their own version of the American dream.

Growing up I heard stories from my Mother and our cousins that one day they saw a swarm of Asian people, many unclothed running around frantically around Riis Park area in my hometown of Rockaway, Queens. Never knew why until we came across a Documentary on Sister Ping some years ago. This book helps connect the dots and validates the stories of reformed former Asian gangsters

Nothing had worked. Not threats or negotiations, not shutting down the betting parlors or opium dens, not throwing Chinese offenders into prison. Not even executing them. The New York DA was running out of ideas, and more people were dying every day as the weapons of choice evolved from hatchets to automatic weapons and even bombs. Welcome to New York City's Chinatown in 1925.

This was a captivating and exciting recount of history. I couldn’t help but envision what Black Wall St would be like had it survived and moved similarly to Chinatown. I've always had a great respect for how Chinatown operated but wanted to trace the footsteps to the very beginning. This story also gives clarity to a lot of Chinese underworld relations to this very day. Thankfully there are those on Youtube whose first hand accounts of Chinatowns history connects the dots to such a rich history. Much love and respect, always

Pretty good overall
Revisado: 04-15-20
This book does provide a lot of good and informative content however I'd like to point out something. In the last chapter that has the girl with the guy named Glen. I honestly feel you shouldn't had helped her "win" over this toxic person. He seems very narcissistic if not an NPD himself. The woman felt inadequate and not good enough because he wanted her to. He was devaluing her so she'd put out more and give him supply.
