I sense a tragedy coming, but this story like is seriously compelling!!!
Terran Armor is my favorite so far and I cant wait to see what happens to Roland and his lance.
Old friends from the Ember War make appearances, sometimes fun, sometimes heartbreaking
10/10. Please gimme more

While Stephanson can get a little longwinded in his navel gazing and world building, his overall story never ceases to amaze. This is one of those books that stick with you long after you've finished it. I'm a solid fan for life.

Simply Amazing

Lovecraft meets Kafka. Hands down some of the best speculative fiction I've ever read. A hundred times better than the movie. Definitely going to read more from this writer

A fun story!

What a neat idea, humans from the future struggling to escape extinction and end up in Medieval Scandinavia! Much awesomeness ensues. I even got emotional at one point. Great stuff and look forward to the sequel. I had a hard time with some of the characters actions more than once, but am ready and willing to play along.

Better than Book One

Having a hard time describing how much I'm enjoying this series, and Ruins of Anthalas is one of the best. Firing on all cylinders, RoA gives us space battles, alien jungle worlds, lost civilizations, and plant of cosmic mystery and awe. The stakes keep getting hiring and the action keeps getting better. Slowly falling in love with the characters. The Ember War is part Robotech, part Starship Troopers, part Battlestar Galactica. If you like scifi, you cant go wrong with these books.

A fantastic sequel!

This book was a pleasant surprise!
Dig deeper into the myth and lore of the Emberverse as you continue to follow the story of Roland and his fellow armor.
New characters and old, plenty of page turning action as well as a surprising amount of touching depth into the supporting cast. Sprinkled with plenty of Fox's humanity, charm, and humor as well.
I'm a fan.

I'm so happy that Anne Rice wrote this. what an amazing book. Even non-christians can enjoy it, it's so well written. Many times I was myself transported back to that era, and the details of the locales was amazing. A tale nothing short of magical.
