Dark
Revisado: 11-02-23
The series was too depressing and sad for me. A lot of sickness, death and depression for me. I love Amish novels because they uplift me and make me happy. But this series was too dark for my taste.

Downer
Revisado: 01-04-21
I usually like books by this author. But not this one. Russel was miserable throughout the entire book until the very end. I’m not sure he would have remained happy if the book had continued. Bad things happened to him and continued to happen to him. He did nothing to help himself except whine throughout the entire book. There was nothing pleasant or satisfying at all. Total downer.

Just what we need
Revisado: 11-19-20
After the tumultuous year we’ve been having, this book is just what I needed. Truly heartwarming, loving and a darned good story. No drama, hate, lies or betrayals. Just right to end 2920.
The narrator was just right as well.
So glad I read it.

Cannot Finish
Revisado: 11-12-20
I am on the second chapter and I just can’t get into this book. It is dull and hard to get into. Most of all, the British accent of the narrator is very off putting. Not at all like fairly young American women. I’m sure she’s doing a great job of reading but does not represent the personalities of the characters.
I’m stopping and moving on to my next book.

Nice Story
Revisado: 09-27-20
At first I thought it would be a silly book. But it evolved into a pretty darn good story. The narrator did a very good job. However the southern drawl was way over the top.

Shallow and disappointing
Revisado: 08-14-20
I am a fan of Susan Mallery, but not this book. There didn’t seem to be an interesting plot. The women characters were weak and dramatic for no good reasons. Without giving away the plot or any of the unnecessary fear and drama, I will say if you are expecting a typical good story from this author you will be disappointed.

Historia
Six years after the fight that ended their friendship, Daphne Berg is shocked when Drue Cavanaugh walks back into her life, looking as lovely and successful as ever, with a massive favor to ask. Meh
Revisado: 05-21-20
I was pretty disappointed in this book. It started out as a typical self deprecating fat Jewish girl with low self esteem story. Then it morphed into a murder mystery reminding me of an episode of Scooby Doo. But it did hold my interest. I expected more from this author.
