I read this series as a teen and wanted to get into something “romantic” but not too romantic. I thought this was a good idea and turns out it was! I loved the subtlety of love scenes and the resistance to emotions ! The portrayal of a female lead who isn’t afraid to do what’s necessary and isn’t 100% focused on her love interest.
