Mind altering - great stuff for those overlooked or written out of many histories. Like the studies of women this black lense and wiping of past whitewashed lenses reveals many new ideas and directions for more holistic studies.

Thought provoking for anyone who’s been sidelined or ignored

This wasn’t really what I expected but is a nice peak into the life of an historic woman and a a fictional woman - historic fiction, I suppose.
It leaves me with questions and challenges to face and determination to be higher, better, faster.

Deeply Rooted, Story of Family & Secrets: Growth & Reckoning

A really great story - timeless yet modern with history, HERstory, myth and legend.
Human nature is explored in a way that led me to deep introspection and new understandings. No two people or situations are alike, yet we all share and are connected and interconnected.
I found the denouement particularly successful.
I especially enjoyed it as I’d just finished Morgan Jenkins’s Wandering in Strange Lands: A Daughter of the Great Migration Reclaims Her Roots.

I had no idea what to expect and was intrigued by the idea of insight into a professional singleton.
The performance is engrossing and the characters both real and gauzy.
