Historia
When the place you call home is no longer safe, how far would you go to protect it? It started on a perfectly ordinary day for Ashlyn Stilson—one of those days that start badly and only get worse. For generations, her village remained hidden from the outside world—until armed strangers discover their peaceful home. When Ash spots them approaching, she knows she must act fast. The threat is greater than anyone imagined. Now Ash and her father must activate an unbelievable ancient plan created by their ancestors—one that will literally move their entire island to safety. But, of course,...

Stick with humans...your books will be received much better
Revisado: 05-08-25
I can't tell a time period, so much vagueness and that AI can't understand or convey syntax or emotions or what it actually takes to be human. A huge environment that the reader gets easily lost within which isn't great. Quite a bit seems to be lost in translation from human to AI and back to other humans. Definitely should've gone with a reader vs this.

My cheeks are still hurting from laughing!
Revisado: 11-08-24
If Cinderella's fairy godmother's 10x great granddaughter adopted a long lost family of Addams', this would be that story. All of the characters are lively and vivacious in their own ways. I had no idea this was a kids book though. I almost feel weird starting the second. There will definitely be an elephant involved somehow. (Kate's hilarious as well!)

Historia
After a long and eventful life, Allan Karlsson ends up in a nursing home, believing it to be his last stop. The only problem is that he's still in good health, and in one day, he turns 100. A big celebration is in the works, but Allan really isn't interested (and he'd like a bit more control over his vodka consumption). So he decides to escape. He climbs out the window in his slippers and embarks on a hilarious and entirely unexpected journey, involving, among other surprises, a suitcase stuffed with cash.

A man after my own heart and name
Revisado: 10-09-24
wow. I didn't know rather I'd like this book at first but now I can't imagine not listening to it again! I can't remember the last time I've laughed so hard and so much. The writing the characters, the twist from Churchill to Mao are all glorious and most stupendous indeed.
Well...get on with a second book. He hasn't got all the time in the world. "Just enough for that and vodka", I'm pretty sure Alan's answer would be.

Clyde Hatchet(t)...the moron!
Revisado: 09-23-24
I love the story but I'm wondering was Clyde purposely written to be not so smart to a fault? He's starting to remind me of the main characters from Divergent and Hunger Games in that their actions are usually selfish and get more likeable characters killed. He's gonna need some major redeeming qualities to make up for Mornax's death. I'm too invested to just stop listening but I'm almost hoping they axe the Hatchet(t) for another main character! "Regales of the Rose" might be better than Careless Clyde.

Clyde Hatchett and the rest of the Skull & Thrones better play their cards right - otherwise their newly formed guild will fall in a war with the Iron Silents, the overpowered immortals fond of spawn-camping and, well, anything that puts them ahead. So much for resting on laurels, huh?

I love the fact that if I doze off listening to the story I wake up tired and sore! It's easy to get drawn into the story. I'm just waiting for the movies!

Leadbeater attempts to answer the age-old question, which all aspirants to the occult sciences ask their teacher: How can I have those powers? He outlines different examples of the steps and the philosophy behind what the student will need to do in order to begin accessing the extraordinary powers they have within. In doing so, he doesn't limit the discussion to simply clairvoyance, but he touches on astral travel and other psychic powers.

Rather prejudiced.....
Revisado: 12-17-20
The author basically knocked every race except for Europeans for their contributions into this field. He speaks from bad knowledge. He basically speaks to Europeans and Rosacrutions being the forefathers of mysticism. He said all other races use drugs and aren't qualifed to practice these arts. And he only speaks of his methods and anything else is wrong?!
Very biased.
