Historia
Podcast will be disclosing secrets of my past, and other guest’s secrets. We are airing our dirty laundry not because we want to. Who wants to do that? We are releasing them so that we can heal. It’s not easy to release some secrets because some have caused us great trauma. Hopefully, sharing my experiences and having guests share their experiences, you too can let go of your secrets and learn how to heal. My podcast is a result of my book, We Are NOT Our Secrets. Expected publication January 23, 2023.

In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

It's great!
'Born a Crime', a listening treasure by Trevor Noah - Really good writing, great narration of his Amazing story which is told with insights into South Africa under aparteid, and its dismantlement, told with everyday humor, keen awareness and intelligent insight - 'this is a must Read!'

Held My Interest - Story continue to build
Revisado: 01-15-23
the narrators we're good. only a few stereotypical leanings, few enough not to harm the story. the ending however seems to beg for a sequel to
finish it off right.

Historia
My life was perfect - until a shocking tragedy pulled the rug out from underneath me. My children were left without a father. I was without a husband and a provider. Instead of wallowing in my grief, I buried myself in my work at Dovetail Enterprises. Landing the promotion as the CEO’s right hand was exactly what I needed. Getting saddled with Milo Huxley as an assistant is exactly the opposite. I can’t stand him. He’s arrogant, irresponsible, and out for my job. As if that’s not bad enough, he has to be devastatingly sexy, and have a posh English accent that makes me squirm on top of it all.

Don't like narration or beginning of story
Revisado: 10-20-22
I can't go any further - not for me. At least not right now.
The writing seems fine, but a stressful listen to start off. I won't venture beyond this point. Hoping can remove from library to limit overcrowding

GREAT ENTERTAINMENT - FEMALE CLIFFHANGER
Revisado: 10-19-22
Totally enjoyed. Narration was appropriate, easy to listen to. A few times, difficult to turn off for the evening. Not a lot of unbelievable situations, still surprises that kept story engaging and moved it forward.

Not What I Expected - No Nostalgia of the 30's
Revisado: 10-03-22
The mood or tone of the 1930's was created, the narration was clear but a somewhat whinny voice. made it difficult for me to continue, even though I believe the writing may have held my attention, in spite of it's lack to create the ambience of a 1930's romance. if I had completed the book, I may have been able to give more stars for the story.

Predictable events, unrealistic events -
Revisado: 10-03-22
I did not finish book - the story was weakened by lack of realism, life events were predictable - Better narration might have helped, but was not easy to listen to - people in the story seemed to be over-dramatic caricatures of typical stereo types. $eemed to be no concept of money - $250,000 afforded a mom & daughter a life of poverty and great hardship, $100,000 as severance pay from a dept store. Not well thought out, or rushed through without thinking through the details - wanted to enjoy
