Historia
For Zak Ebrahim, a childhood amongst terrorism was all he knew. After his father's incarceration, his family moved often, and as the perpetual new kid in class, he faced constant teasing and exclusion. Yet, though his radicalized father and uncles modeled fanatical beliefs, to Ebrahim something never felt right. To the shy, awkward boy, something about the hateful feelings just felt unnatural.

Historia
Anyone who saw an episode of Saturday Night Live between 1999 and 2006 knows Rachel Dratch. She was hilarious! So what happened to her? After a misbegotten part as Jenna on the pilot of 30 Rock, Dratch was only getting offered roles as "Lesbians. Secretaries. Sometimes secretaries who are lesbians." Her career at a low point, Dratch suddenly had time for yoga, dog- sitting, learning Spanish - and dating. After all, what did a forty-something single woman living in New York have to lose?

interesting but not funny.

if you're looking to laugh out loud, this book is not for you. this is not like Bossy Pants, which is not bad, just a comparison. if you are a Rachel fan and want to know about her life, this book is for you. Rachel reads this book perfectly. her voice is so nice I could probably listen to her read anything.

Entry level knowledge
Revisado: 04-17-14
What would have made The New Digital Age better?
This book is for people who have no technology knowledge. For those of us already in the know or who seek new info this book won't be enlightening. It's not a bad book, I enjoy that it address a variety of topics but it's all base level info.
Would you ever listen to anything by Eric Schmidt and Jared Cohen again?
Probably not.

Would you try another book from Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin and/or Vanessa Hart?
No.
What was most disappointing about Khanh-Van Le-Bucklin’s story?
This book is most helpful to people who have no kids and haven't had their twins yet. Otherwise, everything she mentions you'll figure out in the first month after birth. My twins are 3 months old and unfortunately I didn't learn anything from this book. I would recommend this book.

Historia
Forgive and forget. It should be easy to do—so why don’t we do it? The father who wasn’t always there for us. The mother who punished us. The spouse who betrayed us. The children who will leave us behind. Whoever and whatever the source of hurt, there is always a path to forgiveness. But too often, instead of forgiving, too many of us live with resentments and grudges that keep us stuck, robbing us of joy, peace, and purpose.

Good reminders
Revisado: 02-04-13
Would you recommend Let It Go to your friends? Why or why not?
Yes. This book is not as churchy as you would think. There are some bible references but overall it's just good life advice that everyone should practice.
Which character – as performed by T. D. Jakes – was your favorite?
He has a great voice for narration.
Any additional comments?
I liked this book because I was seeking person healing. This isn't a sit down and listen to in one session kind of book. It's not heavy but it's nice to listen to his stories and lessons a little at a time. A good way to digest it all. This book didn't change my life it it was a great life refresher and he offers some new and interesting perspectives.

Interesting perspective
Revisado: 02-04-13
What made the experience of listening to Incognito the most enjoyable?
Learning about how my mind works and how the conscious mind has so little control.
Did David Eagleman do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
He was the only character.
Any additional comments?
David speaks way too slowly. I wish he would have moved it a long. The book itself is interesting but I wouldn't say mind blowing. I loved all of the hundreds of examples and illustrations he used to prove his point. This book comes across as credible. I did recommend it to others and did enjoy it, but you could probably read it faster than listening to it.

Historia
Before Liz Lemon, before Weekend Update, before Sarah Palin, Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: A recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true. At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live. Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've always suspected: You're no one until someone calls you bossy.

Could have finished in one sitting
Revisado: 02-04-13
What made the experience of listening to Bossypants the most enjoyable?
Tina Fey's voice in entertaining. If we could get her to narrate all the books I've been procrastinating to read on my wish list I'd be done with them in 2 days.
Which scene was your favorite?
Don Fey.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
YES! I would have listened straight through except I have a rule to only listen in the car to help control my road rage. So, instead I listened on 2 separate occasions in the car and a good 1.5 hours at work.
Any additional comments?
Tina Fey's observations of the world and how women fit into it is pretty witty and dead on. I want to say Tina Fey is smart because she is but I hope that doesn't deter people from reading. She doesn't discuss math so rest assured this book is both smart and funny. I hope every woman over 25 reads this book. I know you'll enjoy it.
