Hot story and good narrator

I loved the story when I wmread it, and the audio was very hot as well!
The narrator did a great job with the internal dialogue and giving different voices to the characters, but I found that the transition from thought to speach was often very awkward and abrupt, sometimes making it hard to tell that it had switched from thinking to speaking.
Overall, a good listen!

Loved these 3 (and their peacocks)! It was great to see how the stories and previous characters all came together in the 3rd book. The humor was on point as usual!
The narrator was able to capture a ridiculous number of accents with ease, and brought all the characters from around the world to life perfectly. Micheal is a treasure and makes any story he narrates a joy to listen to!
I can't wait for these stories to continue!

Fantastic book with awesome narration

Fantastic job by TJ Klune and Michael Lesley

This is another story set in TJ Klune's amazing world of Verania. This book is technically the start of a trilogy, taking place about a year after the end of The Lightening Struck Heart, so it carries on with familiar characters we already love, and introduces several new ones. Be warned that it ends on a cliff hanger, but is still a solid story in its own right. There is definitely the humour and sass and rambling tangents that you are used to, but it is a bit darker, and more dramatic than the first book, as Sam of Wilds matures, and embarks upon his destiny. Stellar job by TJ as always, and I can't wait to experience the rest of their adventures.
Michael Lesley was a joy to listen to, as always! It was fantastic to experience the characters from the first book again, and I loved all the choices he made for the new characters. He's a godsdamn genius!
Fair warning: if you are listening in public, you WILL laugh out loud and people will look at you. Do it anyways - it's definitely worth it!
