Historia
In this luminous memoir, a true American icon looks back on his celebrated life and career. His body of work is arguably the most morally significant in cinematic history, and the power and influence of that work are indicative of the character of the man behind the many storied roles. Sidney Poitier here explores these elements of character and personal values to take his own measure: as a man, as a husband and a father, and as an actor.

Good Job!
Revisado: 02-10-12
What did you love best about Steve Jobs?
The revelation of how difficult it is to keep focus without frustration. He could do what he did though health and happiness was honestly not some thing he could manufacture in himself.
What did you like best about this story?
It did'nt attempt to draw a conclusion, though it invited the reader to have the information to make up his or her own mind.

Historia
Written before Alexander the Great was born, this Chinese treatise on war has become one of the most influential works on the subject. Read widely in the east since its appearance 2,500 years ago, The Art of War first came to the west with a French Jesuit in 1782. It has been studied by generals from Napoleon to Rommel, and it is still required reading in most military academies of the world.

Stratigum
Revisado: 02-10-12
If you could sum up The Art of War in three words, what would they be?
Revealing, Life and Death.
What was the most compelling aspect of this narrative?
Sun Tzu's Stratigum give a clear cutting approach to problem solving. Seeing war as art stretches my mind, however, we all battle elements of our lives, and we command a powerful army with every idea that we pursue, protect, or promote. The Art of War has survived for good reason, it captures the simplicity of our nature to survive against the odds, strips the life and death emotion away revealing the structure of dominance. Every Artist owes it a read.

Historia
Toby Lester, author of the award-winning The Fourth Part of the World, masterfully crafts yet another century-spanning saga of people and ideas in this epic story of Vitruvian Man, Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic drawing of a man inscribed in a circle and a square. Over time, the nearly 550-year-old ink-on-paper sketch has transformed into a collective symbol of the nature of genius, the beauty of the human form, and the universality of the human spirit.

Haunting Expierience
Revisado: 02-10-12
Would you listen to Da Vinci's Ghost again? Why?
Would you look at the Vitruvian man again? So would I, yes and each look would add to the understanding that comes by deep and thorough self study. Yet the value of this book is the way the Author has placed Leonardo into the setting giving a perception of the development of his mind. Capturing the mind of Man where we can examine it in ourselves.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Leonardo's ever present notebook that witnessed his development, chronicled it , and eventually brought him back to life for us to study.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
From the moment I first saw the Vitruvian Man I was captured by it, I quickly found it was one of Leonardos. I always have wanted to speak with him and ask his motivation, The Ghost is in me.
