Historia
My name's Griz. I've never been to school, I've never had friends, and in my whole life I've not met enough people to play a game of football. My parents told me how crowded the world used to be, before all the people went away. But we were never lonely on our remote island. We had each other and our dogs. Then the thief came.

A Book Of Joy
Revisado: 08-12-24
What a story!!! I enjoyed this post-apocalyptic tale of a person whose dog is stolen by a pirate and the journey to recover the furry friend. It takes some time understand the narrator's accent. The book was definitely worth the credit.

Historia
When single mother Darcy’s son falls from a rope bridge at a local playground, life stands still. She clutches his small, limp body, frozen, until a pair of strong hands push her aside, and she watches as George, a local doctor, saves her son’s life. George, with his twinkling hazel eyes, easy charm and lack of wedding band is almost too good to be true, but coffee becomes lunch, lunch becomes dinner, and soon they can’t go an evening without seeing each other.

the book has several intertwined stories revolving around the main character, Dorothy. The last two chapters bring all the stories together... which could have been told in 2 hours instead of 9. I am glad I had the book at 165 speed.

Torturing a 4 year old? I’m out!
Revisado: 05-19-23
The story started out good. Very interesting concept of a person that is reborn after every death with all the knowledge of their past. I was enjoying the story until early on it took a dark turn and brutally tortured others for years who had this ability. Maybe it got better after, but I was out!

Wispy Voice Annoying
Revisado: 01-29-23
I’m knew from the beginning that it was the husband. Although it had a surprise twist on that point. The protagonist voice was soooo annoying. But, I did listen from the beginning to the end. You will enjoy it I’m sure.

Revisado: 03-11-22
the narrator is pitch perfect as an old man retelling his adventure in 1938 driving 2 Giraffes cross country to the San Diego Zoo. Loved the story, the characters and especially the Giraffes...Boy and Girl.

An Ending I Did Not See Coming
Revisado: 06-17-20
This book has everything: historical fiction (if you think 1969 qualifies for that distinction); a love story and a murder mystery thriller. That is why it has been on the NY Times best seller list for almost two years. Could not turn the book off.

So, buy an Echo Dot for your Dog--
Revisado: 02-14-20
So many of the reviews complained that the book was a commercial for an Echo Dot. So what?, Echo Dots are cheap and isn't your fur baby worth it?. I already have an Echo Dot and Audible and never thought to play books for my dogs. But, you know, what a change in their behavior!!! All for the good, So when not home, the Echo goes on with one of my books with a female voice. The dogs are enjoying my books as much as I do.
