Historia
1992. All across the United States respectable, upstanding citizens are showing up dead. These deaths could be accidents, and they don’t appear to be connected—until a fatal fall from a high-floor window attracts some unexpected attention. That attention comes from the secretary of defense. All of a sudden he wants an interagency task force to investigate. And he wants Jack Reacher as the army’s representative. If Reacher gets a result, great. If not, he’s a convenient fall guy.

Dull story, pale in comparison with previous novels
Revisado: 03-07-24
Scott Brick was excellent, but the novel itself was quite dull. Poor version of a Reacher novel

Historia
When unforeseen circumstances during an innovative—and unsanctioned—commercial asteroid-mining mission leave two crew members stranded, those who make it back must engineer a rescue, all while navigating a shifting web of global political alliances and renewed Cold War tensions. With Earth governments consumed by the ravages of climate change and unable to take the risks necessary to make rapid progress in space, the crew must build their own next-gen spacecraft capable of mounting a rescue in time for the asteroid's next swing by Earth.

A fitting end to the story he began in Delta-V, I just wish we were in the position to start addressing climate change too.

Another great book from Douglas E Richards

Loved the characters and tech in this novel. Used some tech that he wrote about in his other novels which I really liked. In particular chip implants and matrix learning.

Historia
The gigantic comet had slammed into Earth, forging earthquakes a thousand times too powerful to measure on the Richter scale, tidal waves thousands of feet high. Cities were turned into oceans; oceans turned into steam. It was the beginning of a new Ice Age and the end of civilization. But for the terrified men and women chance had saved, it was also the dawn of a new struggle for survival--a struggle more dangerous and challenging than any they had ever known....

Fantastic

One of my favorite novels. I reread it every year or so. Fund the space program people, we may need to stop a comet or asteroid one day!

Wanted it to be great, but it wasn’t
Revisado: 11-12-18
I couldn’t make it through the whole book, narrator was awful. Writing was awful. Premise was great, but execution was totally amateurish. Very disappointed

Best in series so far, cleans up several loose ends and sets the stage for something major.
