Historia
The dream chooses the dreamer, not the other way around - and Lazlo Strange, war orphan and junior librarian, has always feared that his dream chose poorly. Since he was five years old, he's been obsessed with the mythic lost city of Weep, but it would take someone bolder than he to cross half the world in search of it. Then a stunning opportunity presents itself in the person of a hero called the Godslayer and a band of legendary warriors, and he has to seize his chance or lose his dream forever.

I really loved the detailed cities and colourful characters. The story was gripping and I was sad to hear "to be continued"

Hard book to review

Story is good, narration was inconsistent
Revisado: 09-29-13
Would you consider the audio edition of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close to be better than the print version?
I didn't read the printed version
What did you like best about this story?
I liked the characters, and the story/secrets told from many sides.
Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?
No
Who was the most memorable character of Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close and why?
Oscar, who carries the weight of the world with him completely oblivious to the fact that other people also carry their own burdens.
Any additional comments?
Sometimes I found it hard to tell what character was speaking, sometimes the voice sounded different even in the middle of a sentence. I guess that would be more of an editing problem than a narration one.

Historia
In this stunning audiobook, Malcolm Gladwell takes us on an intellectual journey through the world of "outliers" - the best and the brightest, the most famous, and the most successful. He asks the question: What makes high-achievers different? His answer is that we pay too much attention to what successful people are like, and too little attention to where they are from: That is, their culture, their family, their generation, and the idiosyncratic experiences of their upbringing.

What did you like best about Don't Make Me Choose Between You and My Shoes? What did you like least?
I liked the narrators voice and her accents. What I liked least was that the book seemed a little short to me.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I am not qualified to answer that, but do they have to be quite so poor, I mean everything on the trip was free, and they still didn't seem to have any money to spend.
Which scene was your favorite?
I liked the scene at the police station.
Was Don't Make Me Choose Between You and My Shoes worth the listening time?
Yes, It was worth a listen, although I really felt like I got all the details in the first listen through, and didn't feel the need to listen to it a second time.
