Historia
Anna Fox lives alone - a recluse in her New York City home, unable to venture outside. She spends her day drinking wine (maybe too much), watching old movies, recalling happier times...and spying on her neighbors. Then the Russells move into the house across the way: a father, mother, their teenaged son. The perfect family. But when Anna, gazing out her window one night, sees something she shouldn't, her world begins to crumble. And its shocking secrets are laid bare.

Almost lost me for the first 40 chapters
Revisado: 01-23-18
This is the authors first novel. I think I could’ve enjoyed it more if it had moved faster in the beginning. I had already guessed a lot of the ending about three quarters of the way through. There are some interesting twists and turns as the story finally starts to develop. So not a failure on The authors part; not a waste of time and fairly interesting.

Difficult to follow
Revisado: 10-16-17
This drags on and on and was so many characters each telling their story that steadily changed, that it was difficult to keep track of what was going on and when it was happening. I thought the narrater was very good.

Unusual, captivating life story
Revisado: 09-04-16
This was one of those books that I "took a chance on " and I am so thankful I did. Not only did I learn a lot about modern life in China but I had the surrealistic experience of living the author's life. The performance was outstanding, the book is well written and the story is fascinating and human. This book touched me and taught me at the same time. Thank you!
