This is the best introduction to astrophysics that I have ever heard from a non-physicist. It presents the primary concepts of astrophysics in an accessible and engaging fashion. The listener would benefit from access to a hard copy of the book, however, to reference the mathematics.

Perfect atmosphere and delivery.

Briers and Hordern make a perfect Jeeves and Wooster, their timing and delivery is wonderful. If you enjoyed the Laurie and Fry TV series, this provides the same relaxing and humorous fun. This predates the series by 20 years, and I'm sure served as an inspiration to Laurie and Fry. For fans of Woodhouse, this audio book is indispensable!

The story is pregnant with menace. The struggle for survival is vividly portrayed, with Hooper's crew desperately trying to stay ahead of many unfolding dangers. Rutger Hauer's portrayal of the cold, clinical and devious Ash is perfect.
