This book is relatable to anyone that’s ever tried to do something (from the heart) with pure intentions and it’s been smeared by the complete jealousy and green envy of those that feel inferior. McKenzie gives the hope and encouragement of genuine “warrior” in this memoir of her journey in an industry of wolves dressed is sheep’s clothing. I hope people gain some perspective and find that fire to keep moving forward. Keep getting better. Betting on yourself is never a bad bet, and if it is then the loss is on you alone.

Doreen, it makes my heart so happy that you’ve been saved!!! I’ve followed you (lightly) over the years. I was deceived also about the “new age”... I went to a church that started basing their messages off of “The Secret”, saying that you could find all of this in the Bible and using scriptures to justify what they said. One sermon in particular, they talked about gratitude and then handed out “gratitude rocks” at the end to keep in our pockets. I left that church shortly after that because my spirit always told me that something was wrong with that! I also had started getting involved with Theta Healing at one point... but was frustrated because my spirit wouldn’t allow me to remember what was taught or perform any of it successfully. I knew it was all wrong but didn’t understand why, so I gave it all up. I didn’t think that I was meant for any of it because God wouldn’t “bless” me to be a “healer”. Now I know why! And your testimony just confirmed it all!!! THANK YOU!!! It’s been several years since I’ve sought out new age knowledge. But when I learned that you had been born again and you had written this book, I couldn’t wait to see if it was true! I’m SOOO HAPPY FOR YOU!!!! May the He continue to use you as a vessel of truth! My God bless you and your family with HIS riches and glory in your new life in Jesus Christ!!! Amen!
