Historia
Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town where she grew up—she graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. And when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid, everything in Lily’s life seems too good to be true.

Trying to normalize abuse
Revisado: 05-30-23
Abuse is not romance. Emotional manipulation is not romantic. These harmful tropes need to stop.

Historia
Confessions of a Military Wife is an honest, witty, and often hilarious look at the life of the new-generation military wife. Mollie Gross learned the hard way to laugh instead of cry at what she could not control as a military spouse - and as she quickly discovered, nearly everything was out of her control!

Terrible Narrator
Revisado: 09-08-19
Terrible narrator choice. The voice/pattern she uses makes it sound like military spouses are airheads, and the vast majority of us are not! I want to read the book but simply cannot listen to her read. I'll have to buy it printed.

Historia
During the 229-year period from 1485 to 1714, England transformed itself from a minor feudal state into what has been called "the first modern society" and emerged as the wealthiest and most powerful nation in the world. Those years hold a huge and captivating story. The English survived repeated epidemics and famines, one failed invasion and two successful ones, two civil wars, a series of violent religious reformations and counter-reformations, and confrontations with two of the most powerful monarchs on earth.

Historia
Little Women itself “has been read as a romance or as a quest, or both. It has been read as a family drama that validates virtue over wealth.” Little Women has been read “as a means of escaping that life by women who knew its gender constraints only too well.” Alcott “combines many conventions of the sentimental novel with crucial ingredients of Romantic children's fiction, creating a new form of which Little Women is a unique model.”

Poorly Edited
Revisado: 04-11-18
Poorly edited. There were repeated sentences, throat clearing noises, clicking noises that interrupted the flow of the books. These issues made listening to this series annoying.
