This was a good story about two different best friends falling in love and a blending of their story line. the S3X was well written and not vulgar, and that's important for me, I love a good steamy love scene, but cannot stand Vulgarity.

No storyline all sex
Revisado: 05-01-23
I listened past chapter 10 and couldn’t listen anymore. There was a drop of a storyline, but it never went anywhere. It was just one erotic moment after another, and felt like I was listening to a descriptive pornography instead of an audible book I did not enjoy it. I do love a really good story that has passionate love scenes, but not where the entire book is just a love scenes, and it was written almost in a vulgar manner. I didn’t enjoy this at all.

I absolutely loved this one. I was totally submerged into the storyline. wonderfully written. the narrative was beautiful all voices and accents of each character were easily identified. the pace and emotional narrative were perfect. it was like I was a part of the story, I could "see" the story in my head as if I were watching an epic film.

He does not possess the same fiery instincts of his family and for that, he is often looked upon as weak.

NEEDS to be made into a movie, or HBO show!!!
Revisado: 06-17-20
I do not normally leave a review.. I normally listen and then move onto the next one.. However I had to say something about this story. This has been my favorite of Ms. LeVeque's stories. I seen a lot of myself in the female lead, many of her "spirited" qualities. lol.... I fell HOPELESSLY in love with every male character in the story....... well the good and Knightley male characters. In my minds eye I could see the cast of the most handsom and honorable of men.I found myself laughing out loud, weaping, with my salty tears streaming freely down my face. I had many occasions where I was sitting on the edge of my seat, with the actions and perils that this marvelous cast of characters had to endure. When out most beloved had a steamy love scene, I was so beautifully written, without being vulgar, I found myself sighing with contentment, without the embarrassment of witnessing such an intimate experience, that is written with vulgar description by other authors. After listening to this story, as with all of Ms. LeVeques storys, I find myself unable to listen to other authors. Wonderful storyline, great cast....and definitely should be made into a movie......or an HBO Series...... I enjoyed it immensely. I recommend this story to anyone else that loves historical fiction and romance. I will listen to this one over and over again. Definitely worth the time. my attention was captured from the very start, and my A.D.D. usually prevents that. I usually listen while I clean or do crafts, however I found myself sitting down and hanging on every word. I could go on and on with my praises..... but nobody wants to read my own short story of a review. I do hope you will listen and enjoy as much as I.

Her uncle, the Earl of Wrexham, has been awarded custody of his niece because her mother can no longer handle the head-strong beauty. Like a coward, the earl abdicates his duties to his most powerful knight, Sir Kenneth St. Hever with the instructions to transform her into a submissive lady. Aubrielle and Kenneth are at odds from the onset; Kenneth expects obedience and Aubrielle is less than compliant.

from start to finish ..... I was captivated.
Revisado: 08-25-19
the narrator was able to connect with me and to convey emotion and the portrayal of each character nicely. and was able to convert from one to another seamlessly. The stories told by Kathryn have all that I want in a romnce novel, the adventure takes me to a far away land in a disrant time. The love story aspect has my heart a flutter.....and the scenes where the couples make love are beautifully written....and are not vulgar. That is what i like the most about how she writes.....I hate being submerged in a story and them badda bing ....badda boom......I am reading a seedy nasty vulgar article for a porn show. The love scenes are so well written I never feel that way while listening to Kathryn LeVaque.
