Historia
P.G. Wodehouse documented the lives of the inimitable Jeeves and Wooster for nearly sixty years, from their first appearance in 1915 ("Extricating Young Gussie") to his final completed novel (Aunts Aren't Gentlemen) in 1974. These two were the finest creations of a novelist widely proclaimed to be the finest comic English writer by critics and fans alike. Now, forty years later, Bertie and Jeeves return in a hilarious affair of mix-ups and mishaps.

Revisado: 06-12-18
...And Mr S. Faulks meant this literary homage to sing in Wodeehousian...It did, and it does, and no doubt Sir P.G., -- nicknamed 'Plum' -- now offers a standing ovation apropos -- if you can stand and clap and hoot huzzahs in heaven. I suppose you can or what's the point of the old el cielo?...I mean to say, what?
...oh, ABSOLUTELY!..

Bad Narration
Revisado: 10-21-17
Apparently Mannal thinks 17 year Joe Hardy should sound like 9 year old.
While Bill Irwin was wonderful in narrating Hardy Boys books one through, Mannal is abysmal in narrating volumes 7 through 10, and ruins the suspension disbelief. Returning or exchanging volumes 8 through 10.

Historia
Frank and Joe Hardy receive an unusual assignment from their detective father. They are to "break into" the house of a Bayport neighbor, Malcolm Wright and retrieve a top-secret invention that the scientist had hidden in his study before leaving for California. The invention is in danger of being stolen and the boys race against time to beat the thieves at their own game. The young detectives soon discover that they are involved in a mystery far greater in scope than just retrieving the invention.

Historia
Ellery Queen returned to Wrightsville to solve the mystery of a rich man - believed poor - who died of "old age," a poor man - believed rich - who committed suicide, and a scholarly drunk who disappeared. Shortly it occurred to Queen that the puzzle had a pattern. A twisted mind was committing murder according to an old nursery rhyme! Doctor, lawyer, merchant, chief…and to at least one person in town, the chief was Ellery Queen.

Historia
To save his favorite newspaper, Wolfe steps into the crossfire of a tabloid war. Scottish newspaper magnate Ian MacLaren plans to gut the paper and turn it into a sex-filled conservative rag. Standing in his way is the company’s chief shareholder, Gazette heir Harriet Haverhill. But when the aged Ms. Haverhill dies in an apparent suicide, no one remains to resist the Scot’s advances except Wolfe. MacLaren may be fierce, but when the cause is just, Nero Wolfe knows how to play dirty, too.

D.OD. is a DUD
Revisado: 08-11-17
Rex Stout - whenever he ventured on the political or the ideological -- always made his own perspectives the servants of his stories. On this lierary score, Death on Deadline is DOA, a literary dud. Thus, Robert Goldsborough simply ruins any kind of effective suspension of disbelief on the part of the reader. Don't don't kill your time by reading Dead on Deadline. It isn't worth it.

Historia
There are few people Nero Wolfe respects, and Lon Cohen of the New York Gazette is one of them. So when Cohen asks for a favor, Wolfe is inclined to listen. According to Cohen, someone wants to kill the Gazette's gossip columnist, Cameron Clay. Death threats are a regular hazard for Clay, who's hurled insults and accusations at every bold-faced name in the five boroughs. But the latest threats have carried a more sinister tone. The columnist has narrowed his potential killers down to five people.
