Historia
The Christian faith has been vigorously defended with a variety of philosophical, historical, and theological arguments, but many of the arguments that worked in an earlier age no longer resonate in today's educated West. Where has apologetics gone wrong? What is the best response to the growing challenge presented by scientific discovery and naturalistic thought?

Good rebuttal to apologists
Revisado: 09-22-17
This is my first of Loftus' books. He does a good job of evaluating the arguments and bringing logical counters. He gets a little snarky towards the end which I could do without.
The reader was good with one notable exception. He wouldn't read quotations! This caused me to get confused many times. Otherwise his reading was great.

Historia
The assumption that Jesus existed as a historical person has occasionally been questioned in the course of the last hundred years or so, but any doubts that have been raised have usually been put to rest in favor of imagining a blend of the historical, the mythical, and the theological in the surviving records of Jesus. Historian and philosopher Richard Carrier reexamines the whole question and finds compelling reasons to suspect the more daring assumption is correct.

I'm very uneducated in Biblical scholarship. I found this book very easy to listen too and very interesting. He seems to have extensive knowledge and done tremendous research. This isn't the end all be all for me, but it's an amazingly good stepping stone in my search for knowledge.
