I loved the Reiki and Qigong sections in this audiobook (which also seem to be the same as the individual Qigong and Reiki&Qigong audiobooks by the same author based on audio samples). Both reiki and qigong sections had audible techniques for breathing and a few techniques that could be used.
I had to skip most of the kundalini section, stopping only to listen about prana. Not sure why, they might have said kundalini to many times or compared to reiki and qigong I didn’t find the content as compelling. The third eye, chakra healing, and yoga nidra were written more in the author’s point of view (I think) with some background information and focuses mostly on breathing techniques used to promote healthy chakras, awakening the third eye, and clairvoyance.

I’m new to Reiki, Qigong, and Kundalini so I can’t be a great judge on content but I thought the audiobook overall did really well explaining what they are, gave a brief history and some techniques that can be used to explore each art more. If you’re looking for more in-depth poses and such, this book focuses mainly on concepts and only gives a few techniques in each practice. Qigong having more techniques than the other sections

Been listening and reading a lot of action, dark romance genres lately and I’m so glad to have switched it up! This book was hilarious and super sweet. I couldn’t stop laughing.

*spoiler alert* I couldn’t believe how much Naomi’s mother kept on pushing Naomi to sleep with the Boys. I mean slipping Javier a **** to give to her daughter was just eyes watering. Not to mention the first encounter/moment Ethan and Naomi have, recognizing that their mates send her home with a black eye.

If you need a cute hilarious comedic romance this is an amazing one to listen to!

An amazing listen for any horse lover! Or for a (somewhat mild) suspenseful thriller!

I cannot say how much I loved this story! It was my first time listening to one of Maggie’s book and I’m so happy it was The Scorpio Races.
It was an amazing and unique tale of small island life and the capall uisce, carnivorous water horses that can plaque or make the island a truly remarkable place. The bonds between riders (Puck and Sean) and horse as well as Puck and Sean are beautifully done and captivates the reader/listener.

Steve West and Fiona Hardingham did an amazing job in narrating the story. I couldn’t stop listening. They matched the tones of Puck and Sean to the point of perfection and made them easy to relate to.

I only wish there was an epilogue or a sequel to solidify what I imagined happened beyond the reading.

It was very informative and entertaining to listen to, but definitely geared towards a more advanced Japanese learner.
The book starts with various superstitions/legends and breaks them down to understand the individual words. However it was difficult for me to determine what word went with what translation until another word was translated.
The stories were entertaining, the stories are read in Japanese and then translated and immediately followed by another story. I kind of wish the English translation was first or that after the English translation it was read again in Japanese to understand more of what was going on.

One last thing these scary stories aren’t about the original old tales/legends of tengus, shinigami, onis, and other ayakashi.
