Historia
The Palestinian Delusion is unique in situating the Israeli/Palestinian conflict within the context of the global jihad that has found renewed impetus in the latter portion of the 20th century and the beginning of the 21st. Briskly recounting the tumultuous history of the "peace process", Robert Spencer demonstrates that the determination of diplomats, policymakers, and negotiators to ignore this aspect of the conflict has led the Israelis, the Palestinians, and the world down numerous blind alleys. This has often only exacerbated, rather than healed, this conflict.

excellent analysis of the Israel Palestinian conflict
Revisado: 11-29-23
this book is excellent, and I highly recommend it. It gets to the absolute fundamental issue of why there is no peace between Israel and the Palestinians. Until Jihad perishes from the Earth, there will be no peaceful solution. Most people are ignorant of or ignore this fundamental fact. Robert Spencer has made a brilliant argument and his analysis is spot on correct.

Historia
On May 8, 1373, 30-year-old Julian of Norwich, sick and near death, had a series of visions of Christ. In these 16 visions she learnt about God's loving nature. God in Julian's visions was not angry and wrathful. Instead, the three properties of God were presented as life, love and light, and all of His creation was good, including his servant, man. In Julian's version, Man is not to blame for his sin; instead it is something that he must experience and overcome in his spiritual journey with God.

Historia
This revolutionary book about our future is based on the simple idea that, according to the Bible, heaven is not our eternal home - the New Earth is. As Jesus says in the Gospel of Matthew, the next chapter of our story begins with "the renewal of all things", by which he means the Earth we love in all its beauty, our own selves, and the things that make for a rich life: music, art, food, laughter, and all that we hold dear. Everything shall be renewed "when the world is made new".

This beloved classic by A.W. Tozer is for the spiritually dissatisfied, for the passionate, for the hungry. If your hunger and thirst can only be satisfied by God himself, and the desire for the piercing sweetness of the love of Christ overrides all competing desires, then Pursuit of God will intoxicate you. You cannot afford to not listen to this book. Chapters include discussions on the bliss of following hard after God, the sacrament of living, the blessedness of possessing nothing, as well as the paradox of the simultaneous pursuit of God while being pursued by Him.

Revisado: 12-05-22
although written 74 years ago, this word is as fresh and up-to-date today as the day it was written. Tremendously helpful for anyone seeking a more authentic way to follow and become like Jesus than the typical American western church experience offers. every lover of Jesus that wants more of him will be tremendously helped by this book. I cannot recommend it more highly.

Crucifixion, the Romans believed, was the worst fate imaginable, a punishment reserved for slaves. How astonishing it was, then, that people should have come to believe that one particular victim of crucifixion - an obscure provincial by the name of Jesus - was to be worshipped as a god. Dominion explores the implications of this shocking conviction as they have reverberated throughout history.

Do not recommend
Revisado: 06-15-22
Tom Holland is a very gifted author to be sure. But as one who has not yet come to a true understanding of who Jesus Christ really is he simply cannot see what really has been going on in the Christian movement over the past 2000 years. his book is from a purely secular viewpoint and his spiritual eyes have not yet been opened. To those who truly understand who Jesus Christ is and their eyes have been opened you would be very disappointed in this book and especially its conclusion.

Historia
We are at war. Not with a foreign government or domestic terrorists or a creepy new artificial intelligence hell-bent on taking over the world. No, it’s a war we feel deep inside our own chests: we are at war with lies. The problem isn’t so much that we tell lies but that we live them. We let them into our bodies, and they sabotage our peace.

Revisado: 12-02-21
I found the book excellent on many levels and highly recommend it. In fact, I plan on listening to the entire book again. My wife also loved it. Whereas so much of western Christianity in particular today preaches a feel good what’s in it for me me focused gospel, I find this understanding of the spiritual warfare every real Christian is engaged in whether they know it or not to be extremely relevant to our current times.
I have been much helped by the book and deeply encouraged.

Historia
Hailed as one of the world’s masterpieces of psychological realism, The Death of Ivan Ilyich is the story of a worldly careerist, a high-court judge who has never given the inevitability of his death so much as a passing thought. But one day death announces itself to him, and to his shocked surprise he is brought face-to-face with his own mortality. How, Tolstoy asks, does an unreflective man confront his one and only moment of truth?

Historia
In this electrifying social and intellectual history, Paula Fredriksen answers the question of how Jewish missionaries ended up inaugurating a movement that would grow into the gentile church by reconstructing the life of the earliest Jerusalem community. As her account arcs from this group’s hopeful celebration of Passover with Jesus, through their bitter controversies that fragmented the movement’s midcentury missions, to the city’s fiery end in the Roman destruction of Jerusalem, she brings this vibrant apostolic community to life.

If you are a believer in Jesus don’t waste your time with this book
Revisado: 05-09-20
I was looking forward to this book it sounded very interesting. Sadly, the author is not an Orthodox Christian believing in the historic Christian faith. He’s an academic that does not believe the account of the New Testament. His so-called discoveries of contradictions in the New Testament and his reasons for believing this are quite embarrassing actually. And there is quite an arrogant tone in his writing. I listened for 30 minutes and I was done.

The Battle for Berlin was the culminating struggle of World War II in the European theater. The last offensive against Hitler’s Third Reich, it devastated one of Europe’s historic capitals and marked the final defeat of Nazi Germany. It was also one of the war’s bloodiest and most pivotal battles, whose outcome would shape international politics for decades to come.
