Great biography with story blending

What great personal story of perseverance and willingness to acknowledge mistakes and push forward. The book was structured well with the larger story of trauma scattered throughout "Tyler Zed's" life. Audio was great and kept me listening having gone though the whole book in one sitting and planning to listen to it at least one or two more times.

Highly recommend the book and the Audio book.

You need the book/guide

Not very helpful if you don't have the book.

It had some good points in it but it expected you to go through examples that are not in the audio version.

Good book.

The audio was great.


The story was not very helpful for singles. It's meant for married men, but does claim to be useful for single men. Most of the tips he has in this book end up focusing on your wife, marriage, and children. If your single there are quite a bit of holes.

Focusing on the use of Scripture I feel he misinterprets a lot of his Scripture passages/verses. He alorgizes literal verse and read a little to much into others.

As a almost 30 year old single man this book has little for me. Even though it is titled every mans battle. After reading this it seem some of his books for teen will probably be more helpful for a single men regardless of age.

However, having said that I feel this could be a good book for a couple to read before marriage to help open the eyes women. Yet, that recommendation would be for men that have struggled with sexual desire and have won the battle or are close to winning the battle.

One major problem I have with book as well was the author inserting himslef into David's shoes saying his sexual sin disqualifies him from ministry. In the say way that David was disqualified to build God's temple. I believe that someone how is unfaithful sexual is temporarily disqualified, but it's not perminat. God is a God who forgive and uses broken people in the building of his kingdom. A perfect example is King David who even though not able to build God's temple wrote many Psalms that are part of God's Word. If David was disqualified then the Holy Spirit would not have inspired him to write all of his Psalms.

Read Extremely Slow

The book itself is great and I feel is a must for anyone peaching or who desires to preach. Great for a beginning book and a support book as well.

The reason I gave this a 4 stars is the recording it is read extremely slow. I listened to it at 1.5x and that still a little slower than normal speech.

Not the entire book

The reading is great done by the orginal author's son.
The major problem with this is it is only parts of whole book. I got this with the intention of following along in my book. There are a lot of good missing details and some misread words.

If I had no intention of having a physical or digital copy of this book it would be fine, but it is differwnt from the actual book itself.

Great dramatized audio

Was a great audio recording. There was only two little inconveniences:
One that could be fixed easly which it was read extremely slow.
The other was unlabeled chapters it is extremely had to just find on book that you want to read. it's broken down into 17 books and nothing is labeled.
