Abuse, And Love Sure Makes A Good Read!

This was my first experience with this author, and a genre I don't usually prefer. However, I was captivated from the start. I must confess that I am a fan of Julia Whelan, so my enjoyment shouldn't be surprising. Julia brings each character to life, and listening to this audiobook enhances the relatability for me and, I imagine, for others. If you are seeking a journey into the past, an exploration of post-traumatic stress, and a portrayal of families grappling with unsupported members, as well as misguided and enduring love, then this is a must-read. You might shed a tear and even yell out at a few of the characters, but in the end I think you'll agree that this book was well written and worth it!

A nice trio

This thrilling trio of audiobooks kept me on the edge of my seat. Each story built suspense masterfully, weaving intricate plots and compelling characters. The narrators' performances enhanced the experience, bringing the stories to life. The final installment, "The Good Neighbors," delivered a particularly chilling and unforgettable conclusion. I highly recommend this audiobook series to anyone who enjoys suspenseful storytelling.

Skip this book/audiobook as it will not satisfy your hunger for a thriller or suspense. 🍜📖🤔 It makes no sense that you have to get through an entire book just to have something interesting revealed. 🤯😲🤔 I've been disappointed after finishing a few of her books. 😞👎😫 I am unfortunately not entertaining anything else from this author anytime soon. 🙅‍♀️🚫😤 Wait for it to be added to the free list. 👍🤑🎉

Excellent Plot & Spin

If you enjoyed Carrie, then you might find this selection equally captivating. It explores a child raised in a single parent household, teased at school, and the same infamous prom scene. True Perseverance

I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Eve's life. As a fellow Philadelphian, I felt a sense of connection and support for her. I have a penchant for reading autobiographies and memoirs, particularly of individuals who intrigue me or about whom I wish to learn more. "Who's that Girl" provided an intimate glimpse into Eve's life, revealing her vulnerabilities and innermost thoughts. It was a captivating read, made all the more compelling by the fact that it came directly from the artist herself. I must admit, I was unaware of the extent of her struggles and experiences.

Unfortunately, I can't remember what made me select this book. There must have been something that initially drew me in, but it clearly didn't leave a lasting impression. Skip it, and don't waste your credit. There are so many other wonderful books out there waiting to be discovered. I encourage you to choose something that truly captures your interest and that is a true suspense book.

I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised and thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being fooled. If you appreciate suspenseful novels, I highly recommend adding this audiobook or book to your collection. Trust me, you may think you have it all figured out, but I bet you will be proven wrong in the end. The narrator deserves praise for bringing the story to life, and kudos to Freida McFadden for crafting such an engaging work of fiction. It is undoubtedly deserving of a 5-star rating.

Jo is a true friend indeed!

As a newbie to this author, I decided to roll the dice! I powered through the audiobook during two 12-hour shifts at work (yes, I multitask like a pro!). At first, I was a bit skeptical about the realism, but then the story started to unfold like a flower in spring. I always say that a good narrator is the secret sauce to a great book, and Hillary Huber—my fave—absolutely nailed it! Andi Arndt brought her character to life like a magician pulling a rabbit out of a hat! By the end, I cracked the case and figured out who the culprit was, and let me tell you, that twist was a delightful cherry on top! If you're into mystery and suspense, grab "A Friend Indeed"—it’s a rollercoaster of lies and plot twists that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat!

The Fiancee???

This wasn't what I expected 😴 and unfortunately found myself drifting off while listening to the audiobook version. I had high hopes, but was definitely let down by where the book was going 😒 once in the middle of everything. Between the sometimes annoying main character 😡 and the book dragging on 🐌 it just didn't fill my suspense bucket. It's ok, but I wouldn't waste a credit on it. I think overall I was truly looking for something more thrilling that dealt with an actual fiancee 🤷🏾‍♀️. #bookreview #disappointed #notmycupoftea
