WARRIOR (WHORE)
Revisado: 12-14-23
It started out with a great deal of action and interesting plots and the characters were very interesting... but it always fascinates me how authors under the guise of fantasy, overcompensate when trying to make the heroin strong and powerful! and fantasy is cool to have cultures who don't believe in monogamy; they try so hard to make the women as strong as men that is more into something a bit ridiculous not monogamous, fine doesn't matter if it's a woman or man. but, to have the woman that's surrounded by men one she's made it to, the second she has sex with, and the third who comes out of the blue+a creature in dragon form who can shift to a man surrounding her and then she calls him her soldiers is a bit much! prudish NO, because if it had been a man, people would accuse the man of having a harem and it would have been soon to be sexist! I'm sure there's an audience for this type of crap; but I'll pass I won't be reading this all about anymore it's a ludicrous!

Interesting, but not great.
Revisado: 12-12-23
the narrator was perfect as usual. but although the series was an interesting and new twist on the vampire saga... I kept remembering during the reading of this tale, dragos and pia it wasn't a bad story, but not great and I doubt if I would read any further, books by this particular author. I'm sure many people like her work, but Thea Harrison still reigns SUPREME! I MUCH RATHER EXPERIENCE AND EXPLORE HARRISON'S STORIES THEY'RE RICH AND FULL OF DETAIL AND WONDER!

sophomoric, excruciatingly long and tedious!
Revisado: 12-09-23
I understand when an author, especially writing a period piece. strives to make the story meaningful, and not overdue the romance. but I've seen films during the 1930s and 40s with more chemistry and boldness than this tale. the men were one dimensional and extremely emotional and indecisive, insecure and groveling and self-pity. and this went on to the very end of the book

Historia
The execution-style murder of a Swedish housewife looks like a simple case, except that there is no obvious suspect. Wallander follows a lead on a determined stalker. But when his alibi turns out to be airtight, Wallander begins to realize that what seemed a simple crime of passion is actually far more complex and dangerous. Eventually, his search uncovers an assassination plot, and Wallander soon finds himself in a tangle with the secret police and with a ruthless foreign agent.

it was interesting to see the different protocol and procedures of the police force in Sweden. they are very sensitive.
Revisado: 11-18-23
the story was average, but it was narrated by my favorite narrator so I listened as much as I could. it was a bit long and tedious, and by the time I returned to Sweden from South Africa I was a bit bored,so I didn't really enjoy.

Great story!
Revisado: 11-06-23
I really enjoyed the story, although I believe it could have been a bit shorter. there are lots of characters, and at times it had so many twists and turns that it became a bit tedious at times. I also enjoyed the narration, he did an excellent job! I look forward to reading more from this author.

Once Donald Trump’s fiercest surrogate, closest confidant, and staunchest defender, Michael Cohen knows where the skeletons are buried. This is the most devastating business and political horror story of the century. As Trump’s lawyer and “fixer”, Cohen not only witnessed firsthand but was also an active participant in the inner workings of Trump’s business empire, political campaign, and presidential administration.

WOW! I what a story and experience!
Revisado: 11-04-23
I had no idea that this man went through so much, by associating with such a thoroughly corrupt person. in view of all the things magnified on television about (The Boss), I believe every single word, a life of chaos and destruction by this strange corrupt, of an anomaly of a person. it's grown so tiresome to watch this corrupt individual! but I am so pleased to see him reap what he has sown for so long, and I hope that he is punished and bolted justice for all his corruption! my heart goes out to Michael Cohen, who naively drink from the Kool-Aid of this monster of a man! and I wish him well and I thank him for the story, and again... I believe every single word!

The longest, most boring story EVER!
Revisado: 02-03-23
The narration was good, but the story BAD. The story seemed to be desperately, trying to be deep and profound; but instead it was tedious and boring. they were trying to use certain quotes to add death to the story, but it felt like the the female character was speaking some deep profound thought, and she just drifted off into fantasy world and went on and on and on until you lost interest. The story wasn't that deep and the characters were written without any deapth, or real personality, just people who were doing bad things and her trying to defy him. The ending was ridiculous and it was a complete waste of time. The writer has a vivid imagination, perfect for writer; but unfortunately for me she doesn't have a talent to really bring out the characters, to make some interesting. Boring, very boring.

potentially a good story, bad narrator
Revisado: 01-22-23
it seemed like a good story, but after the epilogue and a totally misplaced narration, it went downhill and I could not finish. The title of the book was intriguing, and how it began it was interesting, but the narrator was completely inappropriate for the theme. It needed a strong deep voice, that knew how to emphasize words at the right time; the narrator's voice was lightweight and it sounded more like someone suited more for children's Horror Story than an adult Horror Story. The things that were occurring in the book were made lightweight, and not so scary by the narrator. I could not, and did not finish it because of this reason. Very, disappointing. in addition, main characters, the man and wife were unlikable, right away and I feel as soon as I heard there voices and character that I feel to come all would feel no sympathy for whatever happened to them or shallow and uninteresting in my opinion... waste of time!

PROTAGONIST SHOULD HAVE BEEN WRITTEN AS A WOMAN!
Revisado: 12-22-22
This is my second and last novel that I've read by this particular author. the narrator is good, and the story was okay, but for a man he is much too, involved in his emotions and the total immersion of his thoughts and feelings are too engulfed in his late wife. he constantly referred to his dead wife in the first novel that I read, and I thought perhaps it was just in this particular listening. BUT HE CONTINUES EVEN MORE SO, AND THIS PARTICULAR NOVEL, even after several hours. He comes off as weak, and the constant, constant referral to his wife who has been dead for a couple of years now, is tedious, and it interferes with you really getting into the story. I couldn't finish listening, and if I heard the name Rachel one more time, I was going to scream! it isn't healthy for anyone to constantly dwell on the deceased, not even for a fictional character; it's boring, and I think something's wrong with a person who does that. I will never listen to another novel by this author, clearly they don't know how to write about the emotions of a male character - and my opinion.
