Historia
Slaying undead is an endless task, but one Hunter Haeight has aspired to all her life. She joins Noelictus' Hunter's Guild and works her way up the ranks, slaying zombies, skeletons, and ghouls with dedication and zeal. However, there is a rot within the Kingdom of Shade, and Haeight's aspirations turn into doubts as she finds a web of conspiracies in the capital, Menorome. The Hunters there are off—something is afoot. It is a bewildering, overwhelming place for new Hunters, as well as the fourth Princess of Calanfer, Seraphel du Marquin, who has arrived for her marriage, unhappy and alone.

Only one gripe
Revisado: 12-17-24
Great story , great performance. One gripe is that the “indulgences” are a massive part of the hunter’s story , and it’s never really explained well why they are a thing.
If you removed them completely the story would still be the exact same

In Liscor, the election will result in a new group of leaders for the city. But is that for the better or worse?

The setting isn’t very clear…
Revisado: 08-21-24
The story is fine, standard harem style story. Loose and ridiculous reasons for multiple women to swoon over the MC. What consistently pulled me out of the story was that it’s not firmly established if this is a modern day earth that just has creatures and magic as part of the everyday society? Or is the creatures and magic part supposed to be hidden from everyday normal folks? About half way in to the story there is some off handed comment about keeping all the magic and creatures hidden from normal society…. But 99% of the rest of the time the story is written with the tone as if this is all open knowledge to everyone…
Not an awful book, and it’s a free read with membership so… meh… it kills time while I wait for the next books from my favorite authors.

Spoilers alert
Revisado: 05-18-24
Good series , but drew hayes has a tendency to do this…. The super villain, who gets everything right who never fails, who breaks all the rules and still comes out on top.
The evil god who has lost at every turn in the series, and has even had a part of him destroyed is back and stronger than everyone and is stealing souls , which is supposed to be impossible and no other god can do it! But he can!
It’s the same in Drew’s vampire accountant series, his villains are just ridiculously perfect at everything regardless of what happens , and any loss they have are superficial and meaningless .

Historia
It is the distant future, and Baird is a loner, a part time spy, and a notorious alleged thief. “Notorious” for the audacity of her crimes; “alleged” because nobody has ever been able to legally prove she committed any of them. When the hush-hush agency known as the Toolbox recruits Baird, being a clandestine operative seems like a great way to get paid to do what she already does anyway. That is, until a mission goes wrong, and Baird is infected with a deadly virus.

The Mary sue is strong with this one
Revisado: 05-02-24
This was an absolute slog , the narrator was dry and put no life in to the characters, the MC was annoying and smug about everything. She is absolutely amazing at everything! Leaps and bounds better than everyone else at , you guessed it, everything!
Massive plot holes that make little sense , security staff that are firmly instructed to not physically look at the items they are protecting, and idiots who know exactly who the main character is but decide to fully detail how their security system works anyways before she does anything
This was painful to get through, authors “magic 2.0” series is far better than this

Mo’ honeys, mo’ problems. And Ian’s got all sorts of problems. There’s a cursed sapphire, a bunch of helpless fairies, an evil hobgoblin, and a puppet mobster made out of wood. Not to mention a vicious troll, although not the videogame kind. As long as he has his gorgeous succubus Alaria by his side, and a little help from Stig the imp, nothing is impossible...right?

Just gets ridiculous
Revisado: 04-03-24
The extremes just get so exaggerated in this one that it’s hard to push through . The MC routinely takes out bad guys left, and right that are literally 10 to 100 times more powerful than he is. In the backdrop of the real world the main villain can just get away with anything and not get fired which just eventually comes off as ridiculous by this point . and the sex scenes are just filler at this point, as most reviews mention, that most people fast forward through

The galaxy is doomed. Monkeys may be clever and too stubborn to give up, but Skippy The Idiot Who Got Played knows the harsh truth: this is a fight he can’t win. The odds are not only stacked against him, he was designed not to win this fight. Maybe he can salvage some faint memory of the civilizations that inhabit the galaxy, but those beings are doomed. Doomed. Including the Merry Band of Pirates.

Great series , ended in a decent manner . No mind blowing events or significant cliff hangers.
Wish CA would have done an epilogue of some sort . But, it does check the box.
If you have been with the series for this long might as well finish it out. But it feels like the series coasted to a stop.
