Historia
When a fortuneteller’s tent appears in the market square of the city of Baltese, orphan Peter Augustus Duchene knows the questions that he needs to ask: Does his sister still live? And if so, how can he find her? The fortuneteller’s mysterious answer (An elephant! An elephant will lead him there!) sets off a chain of events so remarkable, so impossible, that Peter can hardly dare to believe it. But it is - all of it - true.

Annoying voices
Revisado: 08-27-23
I couldn't get past the first chapter. Because I tried to listen to this while going to sleep at night. And that annoying voice made me have to turn it off. I couldn't even listen to the story.

Loved everything about it... except one reader
Revisado: 06-08-18
This was a beautiful story and I loved listening to it. I think the readers did an excellent job... all except the voice of Tara. It was completely out of place and the reader didn't sound like she was part of the story at all, she was simply reading what was written. Very unlike the other readers who really sounded like they were a part of the story.

Better than I expected
Revisado: 03-09-18
This isn’t the normal subject matter I like to read, but the description seemed intriguing and was one of audibles daily deals so I went for it. I actually ended up really enjoying the story, and the narrator which I didn’t expect since I seem to enjoy women narrators the most. I loved the way that the setting (Alaska) was described and made me feel like I had been there before. The characters were easy to like and didn’t end up being completely predictable. I’m glad I took a chance!

Enjoyable story!
Revisado: 03-09-18
This was the first book I’ve “read” by Marcia Clark, but I did really enjoy the story and the narrator.
