I've owned this book in print for some time and always loved the story. I was pleased to find it in audio and immediately purchased it. This is a heartwarming story of mistaken first impressions, snap judgments, and the intricacies of the precocious reasonings of small children. It is also the heartbreaking story of dealing with Alzheimer's and the crushing responsibilities of being a single mother in a small town...a single mother with a particularly NASTY ex-husband.

You'll cheer for Emma as she struggles to deal with everything on her plate. You'll also root for Clint once he gets his head out of his rear end. You'll also snicker at the antics of the twins. We're introduced to a number of secondary characters that will have their own stories down the road...each of them dealing with their own problems as best they can.

All in all, this is an amazing story and you'll enjoy it immensely. It certainly doesn't disappoint

This is Cal and Darby's story and a bit different than its predecessors. Cal and Darby have been married for a number of years and things have gone a bit South. The story starts to unfold with Darby asking for a divorce--something unheard of amongst the Coach's Boys. While everyone else seems to be finding their happily ever after, Cal and Darby have hit the skids. Cal seems to be caught totally off guard when this happens.

The old saying that no one knows what goes on in a marriage except the two people in it really holds true for this couple. There's blame on both sides, misunderstandings, years-old guilt, deaths of loved ones... There's so much going on in this story. Add to that the fact that Ed is dealing with his family situation and it makes for an interesting plot line.

Everyone has their favorite books in a series. Each book brings its own dimension to a series and adds to the fleshing out of the various characters. I have to admit that Cal and Darby's story is not my favorite in this series. That being said, it is an integral part of the series and adds flavor and sparkle of its own to the overall group. The series wouldn't be complete without their story. It is an enjoyable story and well worth listening to--it has just never grabbed me by the lapels and shaken me like the others have.

This is a really sweet story. Avery and Keenan have a lot in common and that's evident from the very beginning. There's just one small fly in the ointment--Hayden. He is Avery's current boyfriend, apparently a successful yuppie who is a first-class jackass. He shows his true self soon enough and exits through the front door with a slam--all while Avery is suffering from a concussion. Nice guy...

Keenan has a bit of a past that comes to light later in the book. He's an incredibly nice guy that deserves better treatment than he initially receives after Avery finds out. She gets her act together rather quickly with the help of her father and a very understanding Keenan.

I didn't feel the 'hook' at the beginning of the story grab me like most do and it took me a couple starts to get past that point. Once the story took hold, however, it hung on for dear life. It's one you will truly enjoy--you just have to get past the bit of a slow start. The characters are fleshed out and quite believable. It is definitely one that I'll listen to over and over. Kudos to the author!

I've enjoyed the Coach's Boys series in print for several years. It's a great series and one that I go back and re-read regularly. Imagine my excitement as they started coming out on audio! I have been waiting for each new release on audio of this series.

This particular story is one of my favorites. Face it, we all have favorite books that speak to us. I think I like this one so much because it starts out as an act. Jon's trying to help Hannah learn more about Ed so he comes up with the scheme to pretend they're dating so no one's suspicions are raised--especially since Ed has a stalker. As you can probably already tell, they get more than either of them bargained for. I love how the author deals with each progression in the relationship--a relationship that neither of them is looking for in the beginning.

For a romance novel, there's plenty of action in this one. Lots of excitement...kidnapping, bombing, being run off the road. Another interesting aspect of this book is the beginning setup of the plot in the next book. It's been very softly done and is a great leg-up for someone going into Code Red Christmas...which is the next book.

I have several favorite authors who have generated several of my favorite series. I have to say that the Coach's Boys series is one of the most heartwarming of the bunch. These people really care about one another and aren't afraid, in this jaded world, to tell each other what their feelings are. It's very refreshing.

You should give this book and this series a listen. You won't be disappointed.

This is one of my favorites in the series. Each of the books has its own special draw but this book has always pulled at the heartstrings a lot. Now that it's on audio, it's even more heart-wrenching in spots...balanced by being hilarious in others.

Chris starts out fixated that one particular new hire doesn't belong on his construction site--because she's a woman. His rancor continues for almost a year until he finds out there's more to Harry than just her working on the construction site...she's a mother with a sick little boy. We find out some of Chris's backstory from Jon--that bit of plot exposition being offered as the reason for Chris's involvement in her son's life. It's only late in the book that a better explanation is offered.

Harry has a tough row to hoe. She has a son with Leukemia, overbearing parents, and an idiot boss who treats her with disdain. She handles it all very well. She is full of insecurities, in part because her son's biological father (AKA sperm donor) dumped her and signed away his rights once she told him she was pregnant...Said jerk having been a longtime boyfriend through high school and college.

Combine the two main characters of Chris and Harry, along with the rest of the Coach's Boys gang, and you have the makings of a great story. This is a story that highlights the strengths, as well as the weaknesses, of our two main characters as they come to understand that they have been well and truly bitten by the love bug. It's an excellent story and one you'll find highly enjoyable.

This second book of the Coach's Boys series is great. There's laughter and tears, the requisite villain in the form of a nasty ex-husband, and all the angst involved in navigating the treacherous waters of a relationship. It's a great book!

Sam is a certified genius. Holly is a single mother of two sons. The two come together, fall in love, and become engaged. There's only one teensy little fly in the ointment. Sam has neglected to tell Holly that he is younger than she is. Considering Holly's ex- left her for a younger woman, she is understandably upset when she finds out. What happens from that point on forces the tissues to come out...

The story is great and the narrator performs it well. While there is a rollercoaster ride involved, it all ends well. The other members of the gang are also included in this book. We also see the beginning of the arc for Ed's story that will build throughout the series. While this book is a standalone with its own happily ever after, to get the full benefit of the series it's wise to enjoy them in order. Another great one from the author!

I've been a fan of this book for several years now and, until yesterday, have only had it in print form. I have longed for this series to be released on audio for quite some time. The narrator does a great job bringing the book more to life than what one experiences with the print version.

I love the interplay of all the characters in this story. Dan, our hero, starts out as Mr. Fix-It and soon finds himself falling for Jess, our heroine. His motives are pure and the growth of the various characters throughout the story is enchanting. We meet most of Coach's Boys in this first book. We watch a family go through the turmoil of great loss--both on Jess's side and on Dan's. We feel the grief that each side experiences and how they work through their loss.

Yes, this is a love story...but it is really so much more. It is also a beginning--one our characters didn't even know they wanted or needed. It will make you laugh and there are times you'll also need to pull out your tissues because you will weep. This story lays the groundwork for all those to come in the rest of the series. I'm really looking forward to them, as well.

While I love this series in print, I have to say that having it on audio is wonderful. Audio performances bring the stories to life...and also allow me a hands-free experience so I can multitask. They're great to listen to while knitting, crocheting, or quilting. Kudos to the author for bringing them to us!

I received a copy of this audiobook in exchange for an honest review.

I already own the print version of this book so I was familiar with the story before listening to it. It never fails to amaze me how much more I can get out of listening to the story over reading it. The story comes to life because of the skill of the narrator. Ms. Kaminsky does an excellent job.

I remembered a pivotal point for me from the print version but when I heard the words spoken in this version, the impact was so much greater. I still cheered for the heroine but she sounded even more mature this time around because of the spoken word. I think the hero's growth in this version is so much more evident because of the inflection the narrator gives to his speeches. I liked Jed before but I like him even more now.

This is a sweet love story set in a small town. While it follows the standard boy meets girl, boy loses girl due to his own stupidity, boy gets girl back formula it has a number of twists and turns that make it unique. It also sets up the start of the second book nicely. The other two books in the Moon Lake series are just as sweet and I look forward to seeing them released on audiobooks, as well.

What did you love best about Jade's Cowboy Crush?

I know I say each of these books is great...and they are. Each earns its greatness for a different reason. I love the whole "bad boy turns good because of a spunky woman" aspect of this book. The story is rich and quite well done.

What other book might you compare Jade's Cowboy Crush to and why?

Either of the other two books in this series, Reese's Cowboy Kiss (#1) or Cassie's Cowboy Crave (#3), are amazing. They'll make more sense if you listen to them in order even though they are standalone books.

Have you listened to any of Lesley Ann Fogle’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I quite enjoy Ms. Fogle's performance. She is quite talented and does an amazing job at coming up with different voices for the different characters. She is quite talented with doing the male leads. She's got their playful inflection down just right. Every one of her performances that I have listened to have been exceptional.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Ms. Krey's books contain humor and sadness, both. I laugh frequently at her stories, get really tense during crucial moments in the book, and even tear up on occasion. The book is well-rounded.

Any additional comments?

This author does some amazing stories. Combined with the wonderful narration that Ms. Fogle does, it's a real winning combination. This narrator has done all three books in this series.

Would you consider the audio edition of Cassie's Cowboy Crave to be better than the print version?

The print version has its own merits, however, this audio version really brings the story to life. I loved the book when I initially read it but this narrator does such a phenomenal job that you become immersed in the story.

What other book might you compare Cassie's Cowboy Crave to and why?

Either of the other two books in this series are amazing, as well. Reese's Cowboy Kiss or Jade's Cowboy Crush.

Which character – as performed by Lesley Ann Fogle – was your favorite?

This narrator has an amazing ability to interpret male voices. She did an excellent job on the male lead, Shane. He's usually quite lovable and playful but she portrays his angst-ridden moments quite well, too.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Even though I knew what was coming and that the book would end well, I have a hard time with the scene where Cassie is relocated and Shane arrives too late to say goodbye. That whole section of the book is very moving.

Any additional comments?

You won't go wrong with this audio book. The story is great, as are the characters. Any of this author's books are well work listening to.
