Revisado: 10-26-24
This book presents detailed guidance regarding Christian relationships. It provides relatable examples of challenging life circumstances and how to walk together during these seasons. I read this book with a small group many years ago and hearing it was so helpful. I hope to listen to it several more times because my heart forgets....

This book was just what my heart needed. It is written for believers who are struggling through disappointment and fear. The advice is biblically supported and so helpful. I listened to each chapter several times so the truths would 'soak in'. I plan to listen to it many more times.

Excellent!
Revisado: 06-29-24
I have loved each of the Jane Hawk audio books. The pacing and details are perfect. There are several characters to keep straight, but the narrarator does a great job with their different voices, so it's not a big deal. This series has been a favorite for me,so far!

I have never heard of this novel, so I was hesitant to purchase it. Great character development, narraration, and engaging plot. Not as much supernatural /horror as his other novels, but I really enjoyed it nonetheless.

Historia
Leland Gaunt opens a new shop in Castle Rock called Needful Things. Anyone who enters his store finds the object of his or her lifelong dreams and desires: a prized baseball card, a healing amulet. In addition to a token payment, Gaunt requests that each person perform a little "deed", usually a seemingly innocent prank played on someone else from town. These practical jokes cascade out of control, and soon the entire town is doing battle with itself. Only Sheriff Alan Pangborn suspects that Gaunt is behind the population's increasingly violent behavior.

The story was good enough, but I didn't care for Stephen King's performance. In my opinion, his speaking voice isn't well suited for this...

Historia
One of the 20th century's most challenging novels of ideas, The Fountainhead champions the cause of individualism through the story of a gifted young architect who defies the tyranny of conventional public opinion. The struggle for personal integrity in a world that values conformity above creativity is powerfully illustrated through three characters: Howard Roarke, a genius; Gail Wynand, a newspaper mogul and self-made millionaire; and Dominique Francon, a devastating beauty.

Historia
The Bell Jar chronicles the crack-up of Esther Greenwood: brilliant, beautiful, enormously talented, and successful but slowly going under - maybe for the last time. Sylvia Plath masterfully draws the reader into Esther's breakdown with such intensity that Esther's insanity becomes completely real and even rational, as probable and accessible an experience as going to the movies. Such deep penetration into the dark and harrowing corners of the psyche is an extraordinary accomplishment and has made The Bell Jar a haunting American classic.
