First off, the author should definitely read all of her novels. Soothing and crisp at the same time, her reading was phenomenal.
Second, I would definitely suggests this to anyone who enjoyed the Women of the Bible series by Orson Scot Card. Similar to that series in it's past portions, but still a religious awakening in it's modern parts, I think this would be a great suggestion for a Bible book group. It may be hard to sell to non-believers, but even an atheist would enjoy the modern portions as a journey towards self discovery.
I highly enjoyed this book.

I was totally engrossed with this book the story and the characters were enthralling. Definitely would recommend for lovers of The Time Traveler's Wife and for people who love The Cloisters on the East Coast. (I've only been once on a field trip but the descriptions were spot on). The obvious love of art history and art by the author definitely come through and made this novel very enjoyable especially for somebody who studied art history only as an amateur and hearing about the process of restoration...well I highly enjoyed this production. Audio was great as well!

This book, well narrated by the author, not only goes over his own experiences and heroes, but how those interact with him and his art.
To me, the most important and interesting parts of this book could be bottled down to rules the author has happened upon and penned for other aspiring artists to follow.
The book is narrated by the author, and his voice and humor are apparent, but it is obvious he takes being an artist very seriously.
I would recommend this to those who need motivation or a push towards their own "locked door."

What did you love best about The Boy and the Dolphin?

This was a great book to listen to. The narrator was great and kept the author's scientific information interesting. Not only was I pleased with the production (the narrator's voice and delivery) but the descriptions of the source material were extremely informative while still holding my attention. The plot might have been a bit simplistic, but the flow of the book lent itself to being a valid, lifelike story. It felt realistic.
Definitely would suggest as a read for animal lovers, and those who want a good conservation story.

What other book might you compare The Boy and the Dolphin to and why?

I haven't read other conservation books like this one.

What does Joe Carey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

He does well on being both a fictional and scientific narrator.

If you could rename The Boy and the Dolphin, what would you call it?

Pals
