A tour of characters

This book was not exactly plot heavy. It was mostly just a tour through the lives of different characters. A lot of questions about whether you change fate. Is fate even a thing. But not exactly a mystery.

This book kept my attention the whole way through. I was not sure what was going to happen next. Very solid writing and story. Other reviews complain about the mention of covid, but I like that it is reflective of what is happening today.

I'm surprised by all the good reviews. The main characters are flat and written by someone who doesn't understand how women think. I felt myself getting angry that these characters were all making such bad decisions with motives that made absolutely no sense. There is a "twist" at the end, but not really worth the effort of reading the book.

I think the positive reviews must be from people who aren't used to reading memoirs that are actually funny and interesting. This is absolutely nothing like Fey or Sedaris.
I can usually get pulled in to a story and find something to like about it. Not with these stories.
Maybe it seems more interesting when read in book format.

Interesting book, worst narrator I've ever heard.
