Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Great!
Revisado: 06-09-18
I thought this was a great book, almost unbelievable to think this is where the charming tv host comes from. The only reason I gave the performance 4 stars is that towards the end the ‘voices’ were annoying me. I know he’s great at doing accents, but I thought some of it was a bit of overkill.

Great!
Revisado: 05-13-18
I really enjoyed this book! I am a true crime fan, so I was interested in learning more about this case, but it’s also beautifully written. It was even crazier that this book was written before he was caught. It’s quite insightful. I’m sad she passed away though, would have been great for her to see she was right about most things.
The audio is good quality. The performer has a tiny bit of accent or speech impediment but I feel like it only added to it feeling like this was Michelle reading her story, making it more relatable.

Historia
Everyone in the quiet Jersey Shore town of Silver Bay knows the story: on a Sunday evening in September 1991, Ramsey Miller threw a blowout block party, then murdered his beautiful wife and three-year-old daughter. But everyone is wrong. The daughter got away. Now she is nearly eighteen and tired of living in secrecy. Under the name Melanie Denison, she has spent the last fifteen years in small-town West Virginia as part of the Witness Protection Program. She has never been allowed to travel, go to a school dance, or even have internet at home. Precautions must be taken at every turn, because Ramsey Miller was never caught and might still be looking for his daughter.

Good book but didn't like narrator
Revisado: 09-20-16
I really liked the book, it's a very engaging story with enough plot twists, but I think not too much to be beyond believable. However, I really disliked how the narrator made every single man sound exactly the same. It started to annoy me after a while.

Historia
The debut psychological thriller that will forever change the way you look at other people's lives. Every day the same. Rachel takes the same commuter train every morning and night. Every day she rattles down the track, flashes past a stretch of cozy suburban homes, and stops at the signal that allows her to daily watch the same couple breakfasting on their deck. She’s even started to feel like she knows them. Jess and Jason, she calls them. Their life - as she sees it - is perfect. Not unlike the life she recently lost.

Too many annoying voices
Revisado: 08-20-15
I liked the story, it wasn't THAT great (everyone is talking about this book, I didn't think it was that special. It's like any good Nicky French book I think...), but the narrator for me made it so annoying that I almost stopped listening a few times. I like the British accent, but especially the annoying voice of the female detective made me wanna throw stuff and say 'aw come on lady, just talk normal!!!' If you love voices you may like it, but I prefer it a bit less silly theatrical to be honest, for me it was over the top...

Insightful

I enjoyed this book a lot. It gave me a whole new perspective. The narrator does a great job, not too many 'silly voices', but enough to keep it interesting. Would recommend this book to anyone with a brain.
