Historia
A Progressive's Case for Bitcoin is for everyone who is starting to learn about Bitcoin, and wants to understand the reality behind the buzz. Exploring the value proposition of Bitcoin through a progressive lens, Maier's book explores why Bitcoin is good for the environment, how it helps poor and marginalized communities, and why Bitcoin serves as a protest against too-big-to-fail banks: all the people-centric reasons Bitcoin was created in the first place.

Truly Excellent
Revisado: 12-01-23
This is now officially my favorite book for introducing people to Bitcoin. Jason has produced something that is truthful, heartfelt and accessible. My only disappointment with this audio version was, frankly, the narrator. His diction and enunciation of words leaves something to be desired. I found myself having to rewind to re-listen to words I couldn’t catch because they were poorly pronounced. I ended up listening at .9x and that helped. That aside, the content is really good and overall it’s an excellent addition to the Bitcoin Canon. : )

Fantastic
Revisado: 10-23-23
JK’s done it, yet again. The story is great, the solution nigh on impossible to guess and Strike & Robin’s relationship more tantalizing than ever. Also much respect to the narrator, who is an absolutely perfect fit for this series. Can’t wait for the next one!

Bloody fantastic
Revisado: 10-09-22
I thought it’d be impossible for JK Rowling to write a series of books that I’d enjoy even more than the Harry Potter books, but she went and did exactly that. This is the thoroughly engrossing, unputdown-able debut in a series that only gets better. Absolutely brilliant. And the narrator is perfect.

There’s a lot of information on cryptocurrency and blockchains out there. But, for the uninitiated, most of this information can be indecipherable. The Basics of Bitcoins and Blockchains aims to provide an accessible guide to this new currency and the revolutionary technology that powers it.

Inaccurate
Revisado: 09-05-21
Contains inaccuracies and is out of date: for example, the books criticism of the centralization of Bitcoin mining is woefully outdated and misleading. I wouldn’t recommend this as an introduction to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. The Bitcoin Standard, Layered Money and The Bitcoin Audible podcast are much better places to start.

An enormously ambitious book.. that succeeds
Revisado: 12-12-18
Terry Patten has attempted to transmit decades of wisdom and the complexity of his awareness through one ambitious volume. I would say he more than succeeds, as this is a remarkable book in a league of its own. Yes, it's about activism, but it's about much more. Yes, it's also about living a life of practice, but it's more than that too. Yes, it's an accurate exposition of the complexity of our current global predicament, but it's much, much more.
At times, this book is heartbreakingly sobering, at other times it's empowering and uplifting. Overall, it is a call to action, for anyone and everyone who sincerely cares about themselves, about humanity and about the full expression of the potential that lies latent in every human heart. Give it a shot, I can pretty much guarantee that this book will transform you profoundly.
