Kept Me Guessing the Whole Time

Loved the story, narrator, did not see the ending!

I love a good mystery and followed this narrator from the previous novel, "Dead Code". I don't want to give it away, but the ending will surprise you. Lots of viable red herrings and possible suspects which I enjoyed. I feel like I've really gotten to know the recurring characters through the narrator- Oona Maya, really brings these characters to life making their thoughts and feelings very engaging. I hope the author continues more in this series as I'm now quite invested in what happens to Trisha and her family.

Fantastic story with narrator

I loved this book! I'm surprised I'm the first to review it, as it's a sure sleeper hit. I did not know the author but do follow the narrator, so thought I'd give this a try. I hope they team up again. Just great characters, really brought to life by the reading. My favorite was Mr. Give. I could just picture him in my mind, and I lingered on every word. A great story of faith. Lots of twists and turns. Wholly unpredictable.

Very Personal Story and Amazing Ride!

I found this book as I follow others by the same narrator. I had no idea what it was about but it really took me by surprise. I found it very evocative. It is equal parts memoir, spiritual quest, allegory and love story. For nature lovers there are exquisite descriptions of Hawaii and Sedona. I also liked the female perspective of healing and shamanism.

Riveting Mystery - a Grown Up Nancy Drew

This was a real edge of seat wild ride that kept me guessing. I love a good mystery and loved the main character’s pluck. I bought the audiobook version and really love how all the characters were brought to life, it made everything feel very real to me. I love the relationship between the two sisters. There’s a climactic scene towards the end that was really amazing- both the writing and performance. I loved the backdrop of one of my favorite cities, San Francisco, and learned a lot about open-water swimming and computer hacking! Would highly recommend!
