Sounds like a simple story but it's not; that's what makes it great.

A bit of a simple story....

Getting pass the time travel and changing into animals, this is a very simple story. I was hoping for a bit more complexity especially from Vonda Sinclair. I have listened to many of her books and they are way better with far more complex characters.
This book is about an English professor who gets transported to Scottland 400 years ago. What will she do? Take care of a castle? Hmmm Vonda could have addressed this a bit better.
Overall, it's a great listen. Just not that rewarding for an intelligent woman transported back in time.

A simple story to enjoy. Very predictable. Nothing unusual or surprising happens. Easy listen. He's a guy that sleeps around a lot. Will he be loyal to her? I JUST DON'T KNOW!! 😅 The suspense 😉😋
Her narration is sometimes annoying when she pauses between sentences. 😕 Other than that, it's great.

Okay, lets face it... before you get this book you know it's about the two characters who will end up with a HEA. However, the story is a bit too simple and it does drag out a bit. I was hoping for more meat!!
The narration is just awesome. This is what makes the story enjoyable.

This is a good story to pass the time. Sebastián York is the perfect 🥰 narrator. He does a great job that brings this book to life.
The story is well written however it does have some moments that were unbelievable. How he spends money 💰 🤑 like crazy to pursue her.
Overall, the book 📖 is highly recommended.
