Especially because her mother's death was ordered by Venus and Ava's boss. When Venus asks Ava to kill a family friend, Ava rebels and flees.

The narrator did a good job, better than some. But I did have an issue telling some of the voices apart some times.
As far as the story goes, it was a good story and was entertaning . But was disappointed Lish McBride is a very talented author but Firebug is not her best and stands out as one of her lesser books.

The story is great as always, I would expect nothing else from Lish McBride. Narrative was mediocre. I feel that there was a better choice of narrators, but not terrible.
