Jodi steps into our black lives
Revisado: 07-20-19
Her research was impeccable. I found myself many times during the book, relating to Ruth. The whole shopping scene, and the open box of popcorn, Lawd, I almost lost my mind. Only whites can do this. She made Ruth, the very definition of Strong Black Woman. Right down to the end, when you've waited 44 years to finally speak your mind, only to mess it up horribly. This was an excellent book, the narration flawless. So many times, I've tried to explain to White women what it is like to be a black woman, And Jodi gets it. Her research,Her time speaking with other woman of color, Her interpretation are on point... I didn't want to stop listening!!! You will not be disappointed, step into the life of the educated black woman.

Are you Naive?
Revisado: 10-15-15
Where does Midnight Rider rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Classic Diana Palmer.
What did you like best about this story?
Bernadette....as naive as she was!!! Haberkorn brings life to this story
What does Todd Haberkorn bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Antonio Bandares.... His voice and the charm he brought to the book had me envisioning Antonio Bandares as the El Conde in this story. He tells a great story.... he gives Life to this story and that I truly enjoy, his female voices are captivating as well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No extreme reactions.... It was just delivered in my opinion very well. So many men storytellers struggle between the female characters, making them almost sound the same making the story hard to follow. He does a great job with each female character, giving each one of them their on personalities.
Any additional comments?
This is a classic Diana Palmer, it has a naive lead character, an insecure man, and the of course troublesome women. Haberkorn makes the story, the story line is not any different from most of Palmers' stories,he brings life to each of the characters. therefore, making a seemingly unoriginal story an awesome listen.

A Story of a Typical Man
Revisado: 10-09-15
Great story of a man with a past, who simply subatoges a relationship because of his insecurities. The child woman in this story is so naive,as is well portrayed, like most of Diana Palmers main female characters. The story was good but not as predictable as some of Palmers storylines. The suspense in this one has keep me returning to it. The passionate scenes in this book were not over bearing, and in my opinion, Tasteful. Overall, it was a joy, and I smiled often, still after listening to it a second time. It is simply a good read. Get your blankets, Ladies, spend the day curled up with feisty Neolle, an insecure Jarrett, the arrogant Andrew, and last but not least the pleasant peaceable Miss Dunn. Enjoy!!!
