Help! I know nothing about cats!
Revisado: 01-15-25
This is a very helpful book for those of us who've never owned a cat and have only known dogs. I'm 75 years old and just getting over the loss of my two yellow lab mixes, one 14 1/2, the other, 10 1/2. This cat just showed up and headed straight to me and hasn't left me since. This book will hopefully help an old lady out with this new adventure.

Historia
If it weren’t for Emma Johnson, Caryn Johnson would have never become Whoopi Goldberg. Emma gave her children the loving care and wisdom they needed to succeed in life, always encouraging them to be true to themselves. When Whoopi lost her mother in 2010—and then her older brother, Clyde, five years later—she felt deeply alone; the only people who truly knew her were gone. Emma raised her children not just to survive, but to thrive. In this intimate and heartfelt memoir, Whoopi shares many of the deeply personal stories of their lives together for the first time.

Never thought much of Whoopi!
Revisado: 01-15-25
This was such an informative tale of Whoopi's life. I never knew about her learning disabilities or her close relationships with her mother and brother. Truly her mother and sibling had everything to do with her success and she acknowledges this in the story.

Historia
The Reckoning will examine America’s national trauma, rooted in our history but dramatically exacerbated by the impact of current events and the Trump administration’s corrupt and immoral policies. Our failure to acknowledge this trauma, let alone root it out, has allowed it to metastasize. Whether it manifests itself in rising levels of rage and hatred, or hopelessness and apathy, the stress of living in a country we no longer recognize has affected all of us. America is suffering from PTSD - a new leader alone cannot fix us.

A Smart Trump!
Revisado: 12-31-22
Mary is so intelligent and empathetic. She is the total opposite of her uncle. I can not imagine how traumatized she was with his election. She struggles to understand how we came to a place leading to this shocking turn of events.

Months after the Waterless Flood pandemic has wiped out most of humanity, Toby and Ren have rescued their friend Amanda from the vicious Painballers. They return to the MaddAddamite cob house, newly fortified against man and giant pigoon alike. Accompanying them are the Crakers, the gentle, quasi-human species engineered by the brilliant but deceased Crake. Their reluctant prophet, Snowman-the-Jimmy, is recovering from a debilitating fever, so it's left to Toby to preach the Craker theology, with Crake as Creator.

She remains my favorite author!
Revisado: 12-30-22
I can't explain how she does it! Ms. Atwood is so creative and is able to retain the reader's interest in her complex tales that relate to our own lives. I always thought I wanted to be a writer, but after reading Atwood years ago, I realized it would never be possible to write anything as compelling and as captivating as Atwood's tales!

Quite Intriguing Tale!
Revisado: 12-16-22
It was a very captivating story. Initially, I struggled to keep the two different tales separate, but I think that was because I knew they would ultimately intertwine. I think both male and female readers would have added to the intrigue. Overall, it is an enjoyable tale.
