Historia
In 1978, Warren Fellows was convicted of heroin trafficking between Thailand and Australia. He was sentenced to life imprisonment in the notorious Bang Kwang prison - better known as the Bangkok Hilton. It was the beginning of 12 years of hell in a place where sewer rats and cockroaches are the only nutritious food, where prison guards laugh as they deliver pulverising blows, and where the worst punishment is the khun deo - solitary confinement, Thai style.

Surprisingly good
Revisado: 02-15-13
I liked it. It describes life in what is probably the worst prison in the world and makes you think that your ordinary life is quite good (in fact splendid). I have just added Thailand to my list of countries I will never visit just to be on the safe side:)

Historia
There are some odd things about Nate’s new apartment. Of course, he has other things on his mind. He hates his job. He has no money in the bank. No girlfriend. No plans for the future. So while his new home isn’t perfect, it’s livable. The rent is low, the property managers are friendly, and the odd little mysteries don’t nag at him too much. At least, not until he meets Mandy, his neighbor across the hall, and notices something unusual about her apartment. And Xela’s apartment. And Tim’s. And Veek’s.

Would you listen to 14 again? Why?
It was one of thouse books that just pulled me in. I'll check out the Kavach again just to get that feeling again
What did you like best about this story?
I never knew what was about to happen - a very original sci-fi mystery
Have you listened to any of Ray Porter’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I guess it was my first, he did very well
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I felt I was there, in that building
Any additional comments?
Be careful not to read to much about the book before you start, it could take some of the fun out of it!

Historia
In this hard-hitting collection, acclaimed author Nigel Cawthorne examines 10 of the most twisted men who are alive today. Some of them, like serial killer Dennis Nilsen and cult leader Charles Manson, are behind bars. Others are still at large. Inside this book is the gut-twisting story of Charles Taylor, the African general who has "recruited" thousands of child soldiers, and one of the most shocking cases of recent years: that of Joseph Fritzl, the Austrian man who imprisoned and sexually abused his own daughter for almost a quarter of a century.

What disappointed you about The World's Ten Most Evil Men?
The production, everything is wrong. I make better recordings on my phone. There is much white noise that irritates me a lot and it skips and parts are missing!! I paid for the whole book not half sentences. Audible should cancel this immediately
How did the narrator detract from the book?
The narrator has an annoying lazy English accent that I can’t quite place; get somebody from Surrey to read the next book! The reader butchers names (Raskolnikov becomes Rassalinikov) and he must never have heard of Friedrich Nietzsche because he pronounces his name Friedrich Knights! This is just substandard.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Headache and irritation
Any additional comments?
Audible may feel free to refund me my credit.
