Historia
Four years after the destruction of the planeport, Earth remains cut off from Heaven. The angels and demons are in disarray, lacking direction and leadership. Someone has to step up and take control, and that person is...Mercury? But when the demoness Tiamat finds out about Mercury's plan to reestablish contact with heaven, all hell breaks loose. Mercury finds himself at the center of a plot to rewrite Earth's history, and the only way to stop it is to travel back in time to prevent the plot from coming to fruition.

Worst narration in my 500+ library
Revisado: 01-04-22
I really liked this series. I was disappointed on book 3 when we got a new narrator, but I got used to him and enjoyed books 3 & 4. I have to go back and read book 5, Mercury shrugs. Rob murdered this story with whiney terrible voices. I don't think he bothered to listen to any of the other books to even get a feel for the characters. I own over 500 audio books, and have listened to 100's more with KU, and this was by far the WORST.

The narrator was great. I couldn't finnish the series bundle. If it weren't for the couple of sex scenes, I would swear this was written for 13 year olds.

Historia
This is the story of mankind clawing for survival, of mankind on the edge. The world outside has grown unkind, the view of it limited, talk of it forbidden. But there are always those who hope, who dream. These are the dangerous people, the residents who infect others with their optimism. Their punishment is simple. They are given the very thing they profess to want: They are allowed outside.

Fantastic book with terrible narration
Revisado: 05-07-19
Hugh Howey is my all time favorite author, I have never been disappointed by any of his work. Silo series introduced me to my (now) favorite genre of book. Minnie Goode as a narrator is another story. I have listened to well over 400 audio books and this was, by far, the worst performance I've ever heard. I'm about to buy the version with Amanda Sayle narrating... keeping my fingers crossed that she does the book justice.

I just finished the audiobook version of Blackwater. First, the narrator did a fantastic job, what a performance. This is not the type story that I usually purchase, but I'm so glad I did. The story was so well written and I really enjoyed a lifetime with the Caskeys.

Historia
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

fantastic listen
Revisado: 06-22-18
I don't know what I thought this book would be and even after downloading, let it sit for a month unopened. I've read/ listened to close to a thousand books, but rarely give written reviews. I don't critique character development or plot movement, blah blah. I know if I liked it or not, I know how I felt during and after a book. I loved this story. I will remember this book, and I, just might, apply some of the wisdom and faith to my own life. What a fantastic listen. I like that the author narrated, he did a great job.

Historia
Two years after Murgatroyd Floyd joined the Quest to understand and catalogue the wonders of the More Known World, the rash-prone, blue-eyed Oddfit starts having doubts about his exploratory skill. And while that's enough to give his mentor, Ann Hsu, pause, it's not what's bringing the Quest to a grinding halt. Blame that on a series of murders that sends Ann and Murgatroyd to a strange new Territory to investigate. Cambodia-Abscond, awash in shades of red, can drive outsiders crazy. With its vermilion foliage, crimson trees, and garnet soil, it screams carnage.

Historia
In a ruined and toxic landscape, a community exists in a giant silo underground, hundreds of stories deep. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Sheriff Holston, who has unwaveringly upheld the silo’s rules for years, unexpectedly breaks the greatest taboo of all: He asks to go outside.

LOVE the story HATE the narration
Revisado: 03-04-16
Would you consider the audio edition of Wool to be better than the print version?
I could not put this series down! I have recently developed an afinity for audio books and and thought revisiting Wool would be a listening pleasure. I was wrong. Amanda as narrator was awful. Character voices were absolutely terrible. Would NOT recommend audio version.
How could the performance have been better?
Different narrator.
Any additional comments?
I can't stress enough how bad her voices were.
