Beginning was kind of confusing but was compelling in the second half

First off I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review
so overall I enjoyed it. the narrator did a very good job, each character had a distinct voice and personality. the story itself is entertaining and decently written. The biggest criticism I have is that the first half relies on flash backs and flash forwards and there is no transition whatsoever between scenes. I felt that once the team was assembled and the story started moving in a more linear way, it really got good and compelling. I definitely hope there is a sequel, I think there is a lot more that can be done in this world. I just hope that in the sequel we get a little bit of a pause between scenes and chapters lol.

Game of Thrones had a more conclusive ending.

love the series, I've listened to the whole thing multiple times but this ending... Well Idk man it's like the last couple mins of 14 and all of 15, it's like almost a standalone story. It just sucks as an ending. Honestly I just add my own "and everyone lived happily ever after" at the end of 13, it's a much better ending.
