Historia
When Sarah Larsen finds the notice, posted on creamy card stock in her building’s lobby, one glance at the exclusive address tells her she’s found her ticket out of a dead-end job - and life. At the interview, the job seems like a dream come true: a glamorous penthouse apartment on the Upper West Side of NYC; a salary that adds several zeroes to her current income; the beautiful, worldly mother of her charge, who feels more like a friend than a potential boss. She’s overjoyed when they offer her the position and signs the NDA without a second thought.

It was good and bad at the same time
Revisado: 03-24-25
A very interesting concept that had great potential. Parts of it were just too long and scenarios were almost repetitive. Other parts were twisty and good which was enough to keep me going. Sometimes I enjoy an ending that sort of leaves you wanting more. However, I felt like this ending - I really needed more. Unless there is a sequel…..

Historia
She said yes to Morelli. She said yes to Ranger. Now Stephanie Plum has two fiancés and no idea what to do about it. But the way things are going, she might not live long enough to marry anyone. While Stephanie stalls for time, she buries herself in her work as a bounty hunter, tracking down an unusually varied assortment of fugitives from justice. There’s Eugene Fleck, a seemingly sweet online influencer who might also be YouTube star Robin Hoodie, masked hero to the homeless, who hijacks delivery trucks and distributes their contents to the needy.

Better than the last 15 Books
Revisado: 12-03-24
I have stopped enjoying these 15 or 20 books ago, but I keep reading them so that says something about me. However, this one was better than they have been in a long time. The story outside of “The who is she going to marry” was good on its own. I would like to see the follow up books continue to try a little bit harder like this one did. Also, just a personal thing, she made the wrong choice in her husband, but no matter what I will be there for the next one, I may complain about it, but I will still spend money to buy it and read it.

Good Story, but a Little Predictable - Narration was not good.
Revisado: 11-20-24
The story was entertaining - The twist and the ending were predictable, pretty early on in the story. The narrator was not good, I don’t know what type of accent that was supposed to be, but it was pretty annoying. The different voices didn’t really match the characters. You should definitely check it out if you are just in for an easy story - the premise was good, but it almost seemed like it gave up on itself and threw away what could have been a better ending quickly at the end of the book than playing it out a little bit more.

This should be a YA Book
Revisado: 10-30-24
The book was entirely too long for the story. It went on and on with extra things that were not necessary and seemed self indulgent. Was there a plot twist, yeah, a little bit. Nothing you hadn’t already figured out and then when the book should have ended, it just kept going. I wouldn’t recommend this. It’s really difficult for me to give a bad review, but I don’t want someone else to sit through this unnecessarily.

Not what I expected
Revisado: 02-25-24
I’m not sure if I didn’t read the book details very thoroughly or what, but I went into this book really not knowing that much about it. Which, in hindsight worked wonderfully for me - loved the book! I’m not going to say much other than just grab it, listen to it and enjoy it!

Historia
Stephanie Plum, Trenton’s hardest working, most underappreciated bounty hunter, is offered an assignment that seems simple enough. Local jeweler Martin Rabner wants her to locate his former security guard, Andy Manley (a.k.a. Nutsy), who he is convinced stole a fortune in diamonds from his safe. Stephanie is also looking for another troubled man, Duncan Dugan, a fugitive from justice arrested for robbing the same jewelry store on the same day.

This is the same book recycled for at least the last 15 in the series
Revisado: 11-28-23
I say that, but I keep reading them in the hopes that something will change, and it never does. It is the same formula every time. I enjoyed them in the beginning, but maybe that was because it was 30 years ago, and obviously I have grown and matured over the last 30 years while the books haven't. Also, stop with the body shaming semi-racial stuff - it's not okay. You are making a ton of money by selling the same tired book year after year, but I am buying the same tired book year after year - so who's the winner? Write a book for the people who want to opt out - only to be read if you are over this series. Finish the book in some spectacular way and then just continue on with the series for those who enjoy this recycled material. At least it gives those of us who have stuck around for 30 years a chance to get off the merry-go-round.

Historia
When their father dies unexpectedly, siblings Max, Ellie and Nathan can’t even contemplate emptying his house—not least because he spent his last decade curating what feels like a museum to his polished public image. So it is Max’s wife, Caroline, who finds the suitcase under a bed… A suitcase stuffed full of an awful lot of cash. The source of the money is a mystery to them all, and each has a strong opinion about what to do with it.

Uninspired
Revisado: 05-05-23
There was so much that could have been done with these characters but unfortunately, they did nothing. Even the important parts weren’t important. This is sort of a read the book - or don’t read the book. It’s not going to make a difference at all.

Retreating to her family’s rural farm and the humble origins she has been trying to hide, Pip is haunted by what she has done. When she discovers the diary of actress Evelyn Mountcastle in a box of old books, Pip revels in the opportunity to lose herself in someone else’s life rather than focus on the disaster that is her own. A Young Pop culture David Sedaris?
Revisado: 08-28-22
OK, before anybody comes for me I know there’s only one David Sedaris. However, I think this young man is a very good storyteller and that, with his humor and knowledge of pop-culture, he should have great things in his future.

Too contrived
Revisado: 06-09-22
Too many characters, too far-fetched and yet extremely predictable. I enjoyed the beginning of the book, but then it just became difficult to finish. I wouldn’t even call this a beach read because as fluffy as those books can be this one just felt like it was reaching to come to a conclusion that you already knew was going to happen halfway through the book.
