I don’t know why—it just works for me
Revisado: 09-14-21
Doesn’t make sense to my logical mind but this work calls to something much deeper inside me that I can’t put a finger on. I’m so grateful for the tools introduced in this work, as they have helped me through some really dark times. I still use them daily. Thank you, Tosha. I also love the forum.

A Must for White Women Who Want to Create Change
Revisado: 08-16-21
As a white woman in America who wants to create change, I really appreciated this invite to look for my own blind spots that keep me from really being able to hold space for others to lead. I don’t always know best. It’s courageous to defer to those who know a topic better than I ever could. 🙏🏻❤️

Historia
In this truly inspirational audio book, Anita Moorjani relates how, after fighting cancer for almost four years, her body began shutting down - overwhelmed by the malignant cells spreading throughout her system. As her organs failed, she entered into an extraordinary near-death experience (NDE) where she realized her inherent worth... and the actual cause of her disease. Upon regaining consciousness, Anita found that her condition had improved so rapidly that she was released from the hospital within weeks - without a trace of cancer in her body!

Consistent with idea of healing from inside, out
Revisado: 07-17-19
As usual, the essence is captured best by the author narrating her own story—especially such an incredibly personal experience.
The content of this story is yet another account of a near-death experience returning its subject to his/her life with profound Knowing and a purpose of sharing the learning.
Anita’s story, and others like it are incredibly helpful in midwifing some patients at the end of their lives. Anita’s account, while fantastic, rings with Truth.

Historia
When a small vial arrives in her mailbox from "Lewis Carroll", Ayelet Waldman is at a low point. Her mood storms have become intolerably severe; she has tried nearly every medication possible; her husband and children are suffering with her. So she opens the vial, places two drops on her tongue, and joins the ranks of an underground but increasingly vocal group of scientists and civilians successfully using therapeutic microdoses of LSD.

Very resonant, very entertaining, super informative
Revisado: 02-10-19
I loved this book. Ms. Waldman has a great writing style and, I think it took a great deal of courage to write this book. I’m so glad she did. I sometimes feel so alone on my journey. Turns out, I’m not alone I’m feeling the way I do about many of the ideas she writes about. That in itself is a blessing.
I Los live the window into her creative process, as well as how she copes with parenting teens. It’s a wonderful, empowering work for many of us out here struggling with depression, anxiety, chronic pain, and raising children in this age of so many choices.

In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization.

I Am The Wilderness
Revisado: 10-12-17
I am the Wilderness. It’s incredibly scary, and, exhilarating. I will find proof of both out there, but I only want proof of the latter.
Thank you, Brené, for writing this important book right now, at this moment.
We all need to read this book and follow the prescription to keep a soft front and a strong back for our wild hearts. It’s the only way a future that’s worth a damn will happen.
I loved it. Thank you.

Eye opener!
Revisado: 07-09-17
In the hope of beginning to see the humanity in people I don't know, and sadly, tend to want to judge for political reasons, I bought this book.
I got what I'd hoped to get from it.
I really appreciated Ms Hochschild's neutrality and honesty in the writing of Strangers In Their Own Land.
Regardless of moral code, political affiliation, or religion, we must look for the humanity in the we consider "the other". It's the only way we'll come together and heal the divide. We all deserve to live here and have a good life. We just need to welcome truth when it presents itself. That goes for everyone!

Historia
Dr. William Glasser offers a new psychology that, if practiced, could reverse our widespread inability to get along with one another, an inability that is the source of almost all unhappiness. For progress in human relationships, he explains that we must give up the punishing, relationship-destroying external control psychology. For example, if you are in an unhappy relationship right now, he proposes that one or both of you could be using external control psychology on the other. He goes further. And suggests that misery is always related to a current unsatisfying relationship.
