Historia
This audiobook covers how Elon Musk went from getting bullied in school to small-time entrepreneur to CEO of two major companies that seem like they're straight out of science fiction - and how he almost went broke along the way. The aim of this audiobook is to be educational and inspirational with actionable principles you can incorporate into your own life straight from the great man himself.

Not worth your time-amateur advice lacking logic
Revisado: 03-31-24
The book tends to over focus on how you can make more money with a positive attitude and positive thoughts and is extremely light on useful content. The brief section that addressing planning and calendar management erroneously assumes everyone is an entrepreneur that has near 100% control over their schedule. There are also vast flaws in logic. One example the author advises to find more time to be creative and focus on million dollar ideas. In their example the average American spends 22 hours per week streaming TV services, 7 hours per week on social media and 15 hours per week on household chores like laundry (or close to that if I remember correctly). The first recommendation is to shift the household chores on someone else in the house. This again assumes that readers have a member in their household capable of taking on those chores. I would think it would make much more sense to spend less time on television and social media while finding a way to multitask during household chores like making phone calls or listening to audio presentations while folding laundry. I also think the logic of offloading yard work or home maintenance is flawed. Sweat equity in real estate is huge. In our area electricians, plumbers, sprinkler repair all start at $50+/hr. You can earn thousands extra per year by taking care of your home maintenance contrary to the author's recommendations. While this book was $0 with my Audible membership, it was not worth my 2 hours time.

Historia
In What We Owe The Future, philosopher William MacAskill argues for longtermism, that idea that positively influencing the distant future is a key moral priority of our time. It’s not enough to reverse climate change or avert the next pandemic. We must ensure that civilization would rebound if it collapsed, counter the end of moral progress, and prepare for a planet where the smartest beings are digital, not human. If we set humanity’s course right, our grandchildren’s grandchildren will thrive, knowing we did everything to give them a world of justice, hope, and beauty.

Revisado: 09-16-22
The author makes logical arguments supporting longertermism while outlining potential futures for humanity. This author offered many profound insights while articulating how we can act to try to create our best future while limiting risk from catastrophic events or other undesirable futures
