Historia
In the year 2115, when the Earth is no longer inhabitable, the remainder of humanity lives in Babel, a giant space station. Two pilots, Quentin and Kai, must find the planet Paradise, where only the most promising citizens are allowed to live. On their journey, Quentin and Kai encounter Quentin’s estranged father, who left Babel for Paradise when Quentin was a child, and they discover just how different Paradise is from what they imagined—and how they must change it for the better.

Fantastic
Revisado: 09-22-24
The pop culture tie-ins were amazing. While many sci-fi books try to pull off similar references, most feel forced, but Bobby was able to make it not only flow, but central to the story arc. The way Logic crafts this universe and ties it with his music is awesome… years and years of great content to build up to this book. The dedication to his craft is noteworthy. Storytelling takes many forms and Logic has demonstrated mastery over many mediums and artistic styles. Prior to 2024 I had only heard Logic’s songs here and there. I wasn’t too familiar with him. But then Ultra 85, the album, caught my attention…. I listened to the whole album start to finish. Before, I didn’t know Logic’s work, so listening to a song out of context didn’t do it justice. When I got it, I went back and listened to each album he released sequentially. Well, I think it’s safe to say I am a fan now…

Good overview of services marketing
Revisado: 05-29-23
This is a great book for someone with little background in marketing, but doesn’t get into the strategies I was hoping for such as building an ICP, mapping the customer journey, how digital services impact the selling process, or multichannel integrated marketing. It is a great foundational book and one I would recommend for someone new to services marketing - though, it is not a one-stop shop, there is a lot that is not touched on here, but this is digestible information, so that’s a plus.

Overall good

I enjoy Brene Brown’s perspective, but at times it does sound a bit preachy… definitely still a good read, though

Misses some key business concepts
Revisado: 03-08-22
As a marketer, I can assure you marketing IS a department - and it is a very necessary department. His arguments around this are counterintuitive. If "everyone is marketing," the need for the management of this should be obvious and that's what the marketing department should be doing. Marketing will make or break your business. Are you (the authors) really suggesting that experts in this field are not necessary? Of course, not every small business can afford the dedicated department, but making the claim that it is not a department is nonsense and could seriously misguide those without marketing sense.

They say you shouldn't ask your mom whether your business is a good idea, because she loves you and will lie to you. This is technically true, but it misses the point. You shouldn't ask anyone if your business is a good idea. It's a bad question, and everyone will lie to you at least a little. As a matter of fact, it's not their responsibility to tell you the truth. It's your responsibility to find it, and it's worth doing right.

Fine for someone who hasn’t taken any professional courses on selling/marketing, but if you’re looking for more, look elsewhere. Also, what’s up with the author saying “um”?
