Without Jesus & Magic Mushrooms Where Would We Be?
Revisado: 10-29-21
This is an important work on the subject. The author has two basic questions he wants answered by writing this book: the first is whether or not an entheogen accompanied the ancient mystery religions of antiquity, and possibly the origins of human civilization itself, and the second, whether this entheogenic ritual was incorporated in the early Christian church. The author seems to waver between certainty and tempered doubt throughout the book for both, until he finds what he believes is hard evidence, though perhaps not absolute proof, for the first question. The second question is a little harder to keep straight as far as what the author is even suggesting at times. Is the contention that Jesus and his followers used the entheogen as part of their worship and communion with God? This, at times, seems to be the argument and I think it's ultimately the one being made. Or was it that "heretical", so-called gnostics, brought it into Christianity shortly after the beginning of the at the sect? Which also appears to be contented at times. Wish there would have been more consistency and clarity on what the argument was in this regard. Nonetheless, I'd recommend this book to anyone interested in the subject.
I will regretfully add that the forward to this book is an embarrassment as far as I'm concerned. I've generally liked Graham Hancock and still do, I suppose, but in my opinion he missed the mark in the forward to this work. God has never rightfully been a scientific hypothesis, but rather a lived revelation as the which most fully is - reality itself. I expected more from a person who's had so many entheogenic experiences... looks like the power of the Church to sever any immediate relation between God and man holds true in his case, which to me makes his forward to the book a mistake.

Historia
Humankind has evolved in many ways. The basic reason for this evolution has been the non-stop urge for more. Innovation has helped humankind to facilitate living and increase the standard of living, too. Capitalism has served the same purpose. It was by the way of capitalism that a major part of the population was able to earn higher wages and increase the standard of living. Capitalism has a long history. This history has some positives and some negatives based on the viewpoints of the various sections of the society.

What is Capitalism anyway?
Revisado: 10-15-21
This short introduction answers that question somewhat satisfyingly as well as provides a short outline of its history. With opinions ranging from capitalism being the root of all evil to the greatest economic order produced by human civilization, this balanced intro was a refreshing take on this important subject.

An Important Essay for Students of the Occult
Revisado: 10-12-21
This, in connection with a YouTube lecture by the author on "Secret Powers and Why We Should Use Them", is an important lesson in advising students of esoteric and occult studies to be cautious so a not to fall into danger of loss of soul in one's pursuit in these matters. Only wish there was more info here, but recommend nonetheless.

Historia
The Idea of the World offers a grounded alternative to the frenzy of unrestrained abstractions and unexamined assumptions in philosophy and science today. This book examines what can be learned about the nature of reality based on conceptual parsimony, straightforward logic, and empirical evidence from fields as diverse as physics and neuroscience. It compiles an overarching case for idealism - the notion that reality is essentially mental - from 10 original articles the author has previously published in leading academic journals.

Idealism Made Reasonable
Revisado: 09-27-21
Bernardo Kastrup may be the most important philosopher alive today because he offers the clarity of argument necessary to reasonably and rationally maintain an ontology that does justice to the entheogenic experience. Such a change in popular culture is a prerequisite if we are to redeem our culture and society from the break of totalitarian technocracy and the ontology that justifies it. Highly recommend all his books.

First proposed more than 200 years ago, Schopenhauer's extraordinarily prescient metaphysics - if understood along the lines thoroughly elucidated and substantiated in this volume - offer powerful answers not only to the paradoxes of quantum mechanics, but also to modern philosophical dilemmas such as the hard problem of consciousness - which plagues mainstream physicalism - and the subject combination problem - which plagues constitutive panpsychism
