Historia
Meet the galaxy's unluckiest outlaws. Carl Ramsey is an ex-Earth Navy fighter pilot turned con man. His ship, the Mobius, is home to a ragtag crew of misfits and refugees looking to score a big payday but more often just scratching to pay for fuel. The crew consists of his ex-wife (and pilot), a drunkard, four-handed mechanic, a xeno-predator with the disposition of a 120kg housecat, and the galaxy's most-wanted wizard.

worst book of all time don't bother
Revisado: 10-18-23
I've listened to over 800 books on audible ans this by far the worst. I was excited at the long length and love all sci-fi but my God is it a terribly written piece of trash. painful, truly painful at 45hrs in. the character development, plot, everything is so disjointed I find myself wanting to listen to anything but this book.

Historia
Now a student at Wurthaven, Will is confronted with the truth of the present. The powerful magic embodied by wizards like his grandfather is but a distant memory. Though the practice of the current day is timid and uninspired, Will needs the knowledge that’s preserved and managed by the college. At every turn he finds that sorcery is supreme, while wizards are trained merely to assist and support those who hold the real power - a power based on an evil so deep that few who are living know the truth of its foundation.

Historia
Deep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes.

worst book I've ever read in my entire life
Revisado: 03-24-19
I've listened to and read thousands of books in my life, and this by far the worst. Patrick, your warning intro was well founded, as was your concerns about the book when your friend reviewed it. It's not the lack of storyline/ plot that is so painful but the incongruencies and poor writing. I feel like I just listened to a 7th graders attempt at writing a novel using extensive vocabulary and no idea what he or she was doing. Almost every book I listen I give 5 stars, which I did for your other books, but please retire this one and dont let anyone else read it. It's a poor representation of your abilities.

Historia
New York Times best-selling author Kim Stanley Robinson returns with a bold and brilliant vision of New York City in the next century. As the sea levels rose, every street became a canal. Every skyscraper an island. For the residents of one apartment building in Madison Square, however, New York in the year 2140 is far from a drowned city. There is the market trader, who finds opportunities where others find trouble. There is the detective, whose work will never disappear—along with the lawyers, of course.

terrible storyline and book. poorly written
Revisado: 03-24-19
I got 90% through and gave up. Almost every review I give is 5 star but this book was unbearable. The story line dragged on and was an all around disappointment. the book had huge potential but poor story crafting left it an utter mess.

Historia
The first in a mesmerizing four-book original series, Prodigal Son is a brilliant re-imagining and updating of the classic Frankenstein story that only Dean Koontz could conceive. Two hundred years old, the "monster", Deucalion, is a monster no more. Literate and intelligent, he arrives in modern-day New Orleans, where he will join forces with a street-smart police detective and her partner on the trail of a macabre serial killer.

One of Koontz's better books
Revisado: 01-14-10
creative plot, good pace for a Koontz book. They often start slow and boring, but not this one. Great from start to finish. I was apprehensive about the title, since when I think of Frankenstein I think of goofy old movies, but it was truly terrific. The audio commentator did a good job too.
