And more importantly, what was
he going to do about it? George learns the hard way that when you turn 50, everything changes.

Lessons in reflection
Revisado: 03-05-24
This book was an amazing adventure of words weaved together to create Geddy's reflection on his life with his loved ones, all of them, which include the band, the ever iconic Rush! Fascinating! Emotional and heart wrenching at times. Sweetly insightful! There were times that I admired him for being so candid, and certainly brave about private/intimate matters between him and his loved ones. Sharing the triumphs, the valleys even some warts made this adventure such a terrific and emotionally satisfying journey. I have been listening to RUSH my entire adult life and to say I was a fan would be a supreme understatement. I admire and appreciate the three guys that make up this band and I am so grateful for all of the music and the lyrics and the meaning that they have shared with us. You are to be commended for a wonderful job well done with this book. I graciously , thank you for the opportunity to understand and appreciate some of what you have experienced with you , your band and all of your loved ones. Thank you so much!🙏💪❤️👌

Historia
The world’s greatest bodybuilder. The world’s highest-paid movie star. The leader of the world’s sixth-largest economy. That these are the same person sounds like the setup to a joke, but this is no joke. This is Arnold Schwarzenegger. And this did not happen by accident. Arnold’s stratospheric success happened as part of a process. As the result of clear vision, big thinking, hard work, direct communication, resilient problem-solving, open-minded curiosity, and a commitment to giving back. All of it guided by the one lesson Arnold’s father hammered into him above all: be useful.

A blueprint for life with “how to” become an icon in success!
Revisado: 12-11-23
Let’s face it Arnold Schwarzenegger is a household name for a reason… he has been successful at so many things in life! In this book he gave us many examples from developing a vision to thinking big rather than small to working your ass off while selling yourself to everyone you come in contact with. Arnold teaches us how to shut her mouth and open our mind to the possibilities! What I think makes this book so valuable is that it comes from a person who tells you how to do it and shows you how he did it! Arnold has an amazing way of inspiring and encouraging You to desire more, to actually spend time contemplating what it is you want and then planning how to get it. Arnold is surprisingly humble given all he’s accomplished and that just makes him more real than ever! This has been one of the most effective books I have read on motivation even when I didn’t realize that was the kind of book I was reading! I don’t get you fired up and he gets you excited about getting involved and being grateful to have the opportunity to develop yourself and to accomplish more than you thought you could possibly could.
This book is fantastic! Arnold is amazing and I wish with all my heart that we could elect him as our President of the United States of America!
Thank you Arnold for being real and for being really amazing!

An America coming of age story
Revisado: 05-17-22
This was a very creative story developed in the mind of the writer as a reflection on some recent history in America ( think Civil War and industrialization era) and some associated cultural and traditional experiences any person growing up in this country especially in a small town will/could experience.
I think it was a fine read and I am glad that I had the opportunity. I would certainly recommend it.

Insightful and compelling; a call to action!
Revisado: 03-09-22
This book by Will Smith was powerful. He bravely opens up his soul and takes you on a reflective journey in his life to give the reader an understanding of how it is to have much of what you want in life and yet still have the need and the desire for much of what you don't have.
By sharing the adventure and experiences of his mega stardom and his very personal experiences with his family and each and every one of the people that he has worked with over the years he demonstrates the results of the format that he used to accomplish the fame that he achieved. He also shares many of the negative effects of those formats as well as the new formats that he has used and that he has found success with both personally and professionally.
I found this book so thoroughly enjoyable. I laughed and occasionally I cried. This book was so relatable and yet I'm a million miles away from his world in so many ways. I, too, had an Uncle Fluffy personality that was backed up by a general and I also experienced the benefits and the occassional sad effects of those personalities as well.
I feel like I got to really know "Big Willie" even though I am a distant stranger. As a reader he drew me in completely and made me feel so comfortable. Clearly this man has extraordinary abilities and he has committed himself to becoming one of those truly greats that he admires and respects and who he pointed out in this book. How fortunate we are to exist on this planet at the same time as Will Smith.
This book had an extraordinary effect on me in a positive way and I appreciate everything that Will Smith had to do to deliver this experience,it was tremendous! In some ways it relieved me to be myself, in other ways it inspired me to be more than I had been. From this point forward I will certainly be letting go and letting God...work!

Hi! I’m Seth! I was asked to describe my audiobook, Yearbook for websites and shit like that, so...here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

Historia
When Commissario Brunetti is summoned in the middle of the night to the hospital bed of a pediatrician, he is confronted with more questions than answers. Three men, a young carabiniere captain and two privates from out of town, burst into the doctor's apartment while the family was sleeping, attacked him, and took away his 18-month-old boy. What could have motivated an assault by the forces of the state that was so violent it has left the doctor mute?

The narration was awesome! More please

Historia
More than 40 years after it ended, the Vietnam War continues to haunt our country. We still argue over why we were there, whether we could have won, and who was right and wrong in their response to the conflict. When the war divided the country, it created deep political fault lines that continue to divide us today. Now, continuing in the tradition of their critically acclaimed collaborations, the authors draw on dozens and dozens of interviews in America and Vietnam to give us the perspectives of people involved at all levels of the war.

The story of the Vietnam war continues to surprise us
Revisado: 09-02-21
This book was well-documented and I appreciated all of the different insights into the Vietnam war. I found it disheartening that so many of our country’s leaders supported this conflict and eventually gained virtually nothing. Many lost lives due to the purported need to stave off communism from the US.
It was a very good read and insightful into the development from start to finish. Also helpful in understanding the original French position on Indo China and why they we’re still committed in this conflict.

Historia
Bob Dylan's Chronicles: Volume One explores the critical junctions in his life and career. Through Dylan's eyes and open mind, we see Greenwich Village, circa 1961, when he first arrives in Manhattan. Dylan's New York is a magical city of possibilities: smoky, nightlong parties; literary awakenings; transient loves and unbreakable friendships. Elegiac observations are punctuated by jabs of memories, penetrating and tough.

Revisado: 08-19-21
Just an amazing experience to get some insight, possibly understand Dylan's path from young man, poet, reluctant & public representative.
Truly artistic in his thought processes and representation not concerning himself with what others think so much as to represent whatever it is his mind tells him to portray, fascinating individual!
The narration by Sean Penn was excellent!
