Historia
There is an unnamed feeling that haunts most men. It's a sense that there's more to life than the day-to-day existence we're living now. But the culture of this world ambition and greed and fear teaches us to ignore that feeling. Our culture nudges us toward isolation and insecurity, boredom and fatigue, selfishness and survival. It teaches us to keep our heads down, to follow the system, to man up and power through because that's what we men are supposed to do.

goodl teaching for those in new spiritual voyage
Revisado: 05-26-21
I gleaned as much good as I could from this book that seemed to be almost a workbook of sorts. Though not a trinitarian, I still managed to eek out kernels of truth in the various chapters and found the references to inventors quite clever and anecdotal for a sermon or point in bible study. A decent read but I would advise talking about it with a church small group or pastor while reading to guide through some sections it covers about gifts of the spirit for a better understanding in the truth of the scripture references.

Historia
During a perfect spring evening on Nantucket, a violent storm erupts and a dome of crawling, colored fire blankets the island. When the howling winds subside and the night skies clear, the stars appear to have shifted. The mainland has become a wilderness of unbroken forest, where tools of bronze and stone litter the beaches, and primitive natives scatter in terror.

Loved the what if of Time Travel. but. . .
Revisado: 05-26-21
Loved the premise of the story and will continue to read the rest of the series. Only issue I have is that I have had to mentally excercise and reframe Capt. Alston as a man. LGBT propaganda has revved up since this story came out in the late 90s so I am tired of having this shoved down my throat by mainstream media. All in all though the concept of time shifts and alternative history is fascinating. I had trouble putting the story away.
