Historia
I just met my new son-in-law . . . And he’s my ex-husband. They’re here. I watch them arrive from the kitchen window. My pregnant daughter and her new husband. They’ve barely known each other six months. I greet him with a tight smile that he recognizes as fake. Luke is no good for my beautiful, fragile Cerys. He’ll break her heart. I know that because he broke mine — when he was married to me. I don’t know what he’s after. But I’m going to make it my business to find out.

The Son-In-Law
Revisado: 02-10-25
It would have been nice to at least have one character that could have been rooted for. They were all rather awful and guilty.

Historia
When Agatha returns home after a sojourn in the capital, she finds a new woman ensconced in the affections of her attractive bachelor neighbor, James Lacey. The newcomer, Mary Fortune, is superior to Agatha in every way, especially when it comes to gardening. With Carsely Open Day approaching, Agatha longs for some fascinating crime to remind James of her genius for investigation and to distract him from Mary. Soon a series of assaults on the finest gardens is followed by murder when Mary herself is discovered buried upside down in a terracotta pot....

So very entertaining!
Revisado: 11-27-22
I made fun of my mother for being so enthralled with the Agatha Raisin stories, but now I am feeling a bit embarrassed. I listened to Death By Quiche and now can’t seem to quit.

Historia
The victims are all found face-down in the murky waters of the creek that runs through Cherokee Pointe, Tennessee. They are naked, except for the black satin ribbon tied around their necks. And each murdered woman shares a single characteristic... they are all redheads... Socialite Reve Sorrell has come to Cherokee Pointe seeking answers about her family history and her shocking connection to wrong-side-of-the-tracks Jazzy Talbot. With their stunning good looks and shining red hair, the two are mirror images of each other—twins abandoned at birth and raised in very different worlds.

Liked the premise of the story
Revisado: 06-11-22
The plot and story were good, but I didn’t care for the graphic gratuitous sex. I’m not a prude, but I found myself fast forwarding through it and just wishing the author would get on with the story. The reader was excellent and made the characters easy to visualize and distinguish between.

Historia
The Harrow School is home to privileged adolescents known as much for their distinctive dress and traditions as for their arrogance and schoolboy cruelty. But trouble - and danger - seem to follow Andrew. When one of his schoolmates and friends dies mysteriously of a severe pulmonary illness, Andrew is blamed and is soon an outcast....

Wonderful English Ghost Story
Revisado: 08-09-18
An excellently woven tale, with rich characters that that keep one enthralled. As pleasurable as the story was I must admit that I would most certainly be happy listening to this reader reciting even my grocery list. I think the author and narrator a wonderful match.

Enchanting HIstoric Fiction
Revisado: 04-21-18
I am a straight 49 year old female and I found this book highly entertaining. I was looking for something fun and interesting while rehabbing a historic home we have just purchased. This audio hit the mark in every way. The characters are strong and faulted in just the right amounts. They are also so diverse that you don't get tiered of only one view point. The reader is EXELLENT, which of course makes the experience all that much more pleasurable.
